Sorry to be posting so much in Site Feedback recently but....
I think it would be a good idea (if possible) to keep all this Planetary Conquest spam rubbish out of the main l4y hot topics list. Not everyone who visits this site is interested in it, but if you are you can simply go to the Planetary Conquest section and see how your little planets and imaginary forces are doing.
Otherwise the main l4y hot-topics is usually about 50% PC spam

Grrrr if I click on another ambiguously titled thread in Hot Topics only to be led to some Planetary Conquest rubbish I think I am gonna go mad!
This is supposed to be a gaming site where people can come and interact with their favourite games. I do not see Planetary Conquest up in the most popular gaming charts so why does every damn post in Hot Topics lead me there? 
Why can't it be contained to that section's Hot Topics only and leave the rest of L4Y for real games.
Dont mean to sound harsh but it is irritating. |

You said it yourself. This is a site for people to come interact with their favorite games. At the moment, Planetary Conquest just happens to be one of those games. It doesn't have to be on some meaningless list to be someone's favorite.
I agree there is alot of spam, but at the moment, we don't have any way (other than the admins) of moderating the forum. Perhaps Garner can remedy that problem. I dunno.
But the fact remains, PC is just another section of the site. If you don't want to visit these threads, then move your mouse over the link. If it says http://pc.levels4you.com, then don't click it. Its very easy to tell what section a post is from just by moving your mouse over it.
Someone here primarily for UT2004 may find it irritating that alot of Hot Topics are about Red Faction. Doesn't mean we should eliminate the RF posts. |

I have that option enabled Jonothan... But when I am on the l4y main page 90% of the Hot Topics are Planetary Conquest-related... It wouldn't be quite so bad if everyone prefixed the title of their threads with "PC" or something, but I am constantly clicking on topics that I think may be of interest only to be put into this nonesense geek sport!
Edit: If I'm the only one who gets annoyed with this then forget about it, I just thought that quite a lot of other people would have had similar thoughts |

Ohhhhhhhhhhh.... now I get it. Yeah, that's a bit annoying, but I don't really tend to frequent the main part of the site too much, so I guess I don't really notice. |

I so agree with mad ferrit...
The Planetary conquest spam is getting out of hand... Also spam in general. It's driving me insane too.
i'd at least like to see some more topics that are at the least not completley useless, or where posters arnt acting like complete nutters |

I just don't see why PC spam can't be kept off the main page... It's all that frequents it. PC players are more than likely going to visit the PC section as soon as they get on the site so there really is no need for it to be clogging up the main hot topics
Or is it possible to add a little icon next to each hot topic which defines what section that topic has been posted in? That might be quite cool!
All it means is that we might be missing posts of genuine cries for help with certain things... People tearing their hair out trying to get something working but we may never see them to help them out  Poor little blighters. There is no need for people on the main site that do not participate in PC to be subjected to it. We can't help you with your planets or whatever you play with so we don't need to see it.
Out of the 3 staff members that have replied to this topic, 1 agreed and the other 2 just spammed Might as well take away the Site Feedback forum while you're at it |
