Ok, so I get some free wireless form my neighbors on my labtop.

I got a question though...my girlfriend/roomate just got a iMac and I'd like to get it hooked up to the net too. I did a little research and found something called AirPort Extreme wireless networking capability but they really dont provide much info about it.

Keep in mind its an iMAC, not an iBOOK, so it doesnt have PCMCIA slots for a wireless card.(I'll assume iBooks have built-in)

So anybody? Is there any way to route my wireless signal from my labtop to the iMac? Or is there a wireless adapter/card I need to buy for the Mac?

P.S. My labtop is old Compaq Presario 1200, it has a PCMCIA slot which my wireless card occupys, one USB port that my iPod occupys when charging, and a standrad four-prong dial-up port.

Thx for any help

The Airport card is the built in wireless card on the imac. Just set it up to connect and your good to go. It should be just as easy as your laptop, but then again its a mac, so it may just be imposible without 40 gigs of software and mac crap

Also, Macs dont use a PCMCIA card (as far as I know, and thus the "PC" in PCMCIA) Macs use an Airport card
