Got it yesterday (the release day) and its absolutely brilliant.
Definitely the most emmersive game Ive played. Heres a screenie I took of 3 enemies "nailed" in the head
This game is going to be huge. Looking forward to the SDK. |

The world-wide release date was the 18th, so it is not VU Games or Monolith's fault it isn't out in Malaysia. Besides, it is rated "mature", so you are to young to play it anyway, Pred
I finished the singleplayer today, and it is a great game. Cinematic quality on the graphics, and very good effects. The multiplayer is great too, specially if you do a DM match with fists and kicking only
Let's hope the editor and SDK will be out soon
Btw, I got mine in the mail saturday, so that's why I have finished it. |

I do not believe it I pre-ordered the game months ago from play.com. Assuming they had already subtracted the funds from my credit card, a couple of months past and not even thinking about this I cleared my debts on this card and duly erased my account in favour of a better card elsewhere. I didn't even think about my PayPal and Play.com and Amazon and christ knows what else accounts, so I got an e-mail yesterday to say that my (non-existent) card had been declined and they'd await further notice before processing my order What a joke! I knwo it's my fault but they shoulda charged me for it when I ordered it surely?! Daft b*****ds!!!
Anyways, I'm gonna get the game from the shops tomorrow.. nuts to internet shopping
SKA.... (or anyone else) What do you think the potential for multiplayer fun is / will be? Or is it similar to Doom 3? I have played the SP demo and having followed the game for so long I'll buy it purely for the SP, but in terms of long-term enjoyment, what are your initial thoughts? Purely eye-candy and no gameplay? Or will I be pleasently surprised? |

First off, to be able to play F.E.A.R. with decent framerates, you need a real good comp and videocard. It is the most graphically challenging game ever made, and the only card that is able to play it with maxed out settings is 7800GTX. To be able to play multi, you need broadband, as most new games require.
Btw, the multi is real good |

K this game looks awseome and i woudl love to play it.
Can someone tell me if i can play it at all?
I will have,
AMD Athlon XP 2800+
Radeon 9800 Pro 256MB 256-bit
512MB pc3200(400Mhz)RAM (soon to be 1Gig)
I dont mind if its on the lower settings as i mostly play a game for fun (although nice graphics are a bonus).

Your system meats the minimum requirements. Try the mp demo and see if your putter can handle it. |

Yea i havent actually got the graphics card yet ... i have payed for it and awaiting its arrival. Just trying to find out if it can run it or not without downloading, so i dont waste downloading it if it doesnt work. |

Unless the full version has way better graphics then the sp demo, then you can run the game smoothly at max settings on a 6800 Ultra |
