You can get Quake 4 cheap on amazon or get down to your local Game or HMV, install it and come and play

First impressions everyone???
Kinda UT crossed with Doom 3 IMO... I've only had a blast on Multiplayer and it is frantic to say the least!!! |

GASP! PC Gamer only gave it a 70%
The Highs were "Loads of action; grusome visuals; Q3DM17 with Doom 3 graphics."
The Lows were "Uninspired gameplay; Stroggification plot twist goes nowhere; no multiplayer bots"
The Bottom Line was "This old-school shooter suffers from a lack of 21st-century game design." |

I couldn't agree with that any more IAC... They got it pretty much spot on... UT2k4 is better than this game. However I have heard that the SP is ok. |

This might be what I buy with my money at Christmas :O
That would be 3 new games.. CoD2, AoE3, and Quake4.. depending if my comp can run them all.. gotta check the specs
Edit, seems my PC can't handle Quake4. CoD2 and AoE3 should be fine -- on low settings..  |

Just been down to my local WhSmiths and they have it there for £50!!! Bloomin rip off, it's £34.99 at Game.
I might get this game when it become's cheaper, and at the mo, Star Wars: Galaxies is keeping my entertained.

I can't see me playing the MP of this game much... I'd rather play UT2k4... and I rarely have time for that anymore 
The irritating repetitiveness of the tinny rat-a-tat-tat sound of the assault rifle you spawn with, combined with the fact that it doesn't actually damage anyone... bah! |

Why do games magazine go crazy when they talk about games like that. And when they release nobody gives a CENSORED .
Is this everything?
One small news post? No screenshots or something?
I think this post opens officially this game section or am I wrong (now mods and maps can be created etc.) ? I almost haven't noticed it. Come on, L4Y must support new games better than that.
Sometimes games need some time..
I remember UT2k3 demo, I thought it was totally rubbish. But I downloaded it with my 56k and I "had" to play it...bang I loved it |

PC Gamer U.S.A a not altogether reliable mag gave it 70%. PC Gamer UK, much more reliable, gave it 85% and EDGE gave it 8/10, which is a good edge score. |

Having played it for a lenghtly period today I can safely say this is one fun fps. Not groundbreaking in anyway but just all out high adreneline fun. Nothing like Doom 3 at all. Different style completely. |
