Possible solution #1.
Did you set your video resolution too high? You might be setting your monitor to a resolution that it may not support. Try bringing your resolution back down where it previously was.
Possible solution #2.
Were you overclocking your video card? If so, you are probably overclocking too much! Use a lower overclock...
Possible solution #3.
Did you recently update your video drivers? If so, make sure that you are using the propper drivers for your video card.
Possible solution #4.
How old is your monitor? If it is over 5 years old, it is possible that your monitor is dying. If this is the case than I would suggest buying a new or used monitor.
Possible solution #5.
However unlikely, Did you install any new hardware that may have conflicting drivers with your video card and or monitor? If you think you may have a hardware conflict than call the manufacture of your product for a possible solution to the problem. |

Yeah, that sounds like its a problem with your monitor. My old monitor started doing similar things when it was dying. Although I also started to get some black lines and splotches over the screen |

If your monitor is truly going out, you can buy a 17 inch CRT at newegg for under $150.00 |

Sorry to here about that, but less than 10 years from now you will have a job so don't worry about it. Just keep saving those penny's and buy the time you get a job you will have enough money to build a monster machine! |

Somestimes when playing a long period(s) of time and then leaving the monitor for 1 hour or so it cools down and may sometimes crack sound may appear through contraction and expantion nothing to worry about in that case.
or it could be your monitor is dying.. but 5 years old seems unlikely i have had one for 10 years and it still works although its in the loft 3 years of that time
any case flat screens are fairly cheap now and second hand flat screen wouldnt cost much at all *nudges pred* christmass is coming up |

Yes[Why do you ask?] but i never get anything for my birthday not anything special that is so a new moniter or computer is far from my reach. The only option is well saving money. |
