When this game was initially created, it was designed to be the ultimate MOD creation engine/ game. anything could be put into it, vehicles, new graphics, etc...it was the most flexible code in the game industry.
Now, after a year and a half, only die-hard gamers are creating new things for it. I myself became bored with it, until now. I realize now that I can find a tutorial and learn to build my own maps, instead of having other people do it for me.
This post is meant to be UT2004 propaganda. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THIS GAME BUY IT NOW. it is the best thing that has ever happened.
DO NOT LET THE INTERNET TAKE OVER! The AI is excellent, so offline play is just as good as online play.
TRUST ME! I know what I'm talking about!

Please tell me you were talking about UT2007!?!?!?!?!?! There is no UT2006... and UT2004 is a great game to play online as well as offline! For the price.. I would just buy UT2004!!!!..... UT2007 probably won't come out till... well  ... 2007! And I'm also wondering how you know that the gameplay is better? We all know the graphics will be better but, just because the game is new, doesn't mean anything about gameplay! I still play Red Faction. |

And hmm, I was just guesing the gameplay will be better because most new games are better  then there old ones. Take the first Unreal and compare it to 2004? |

Did you see that I used the term "Most Games". Dude of course Red faction 2 sucked, dude, there was no multiplayer and yes I have played and own Red Faction 2. And yes the original Red Faction is a great game and yes I still play it |

Unreal will ALWAYS be the best. UT2004 is good, but has nothing on its pedecessor. Unreal and the first Unreal Tournament are the true Unreal games  |

UT2004 has nothing on its predicessors BECAUSE they were the ORIGINALS!but considering that for 40 bucks you have access to the most moddable game out there, I would buy it again. I mean look at all of the mods, like Red Orchestra, or Clone Bandits, not to mention the armada of maps and skins that other people have created.
DO NOT WAIT FOR UT2007!!
GET THE GAME--BE HAPPY!!
ps: games like postal 2, or rf2 are sequals, and both suck. |

I liked postal 2 although i never played the original. And RF2 didnt suck ... it just had next to no SP, no online multiplayer, hardly any bots in MP ... wait it did suck |

Something is to be said about people who can't wait for new games to come out and therefor have to buy a game right now! I actually have a friend who has no patience to wait for something to come out or come down in price, he has to snatch it up right away. He also has to beat everyone in everything |

I'm just saying that if you get this game now, you don't have to compare UT2007 to Ut2003....
it's not a matter of being "first" it's just that it has been out for like 1-2 years and s many mods have been developed for it that.....ugghhh....if you people don't believe me, then that's ur prob....I love the game, and I am glad I got it when it first came out.]

Valve's Source engine is actually better for modding and mapping currently. UT2k4 is good indeed, but cannot compare with what Source has to offer.
And UT2k7 was said to release for the XBOX 360 shortly after it's release. And since it has been released..... It shouldn't be too long before it comes out on XBOX 360. |

$40  I have no idea where you live but GoGamer usually has UT2004 for under $10. It was $7 about 2 weeks ago. |

Really? Quake 4, Doom 3, HL2, Red Faction 2, Unreal 2, and I can go on and on and on. In my opinion, all these games aren´t as good/nearly as good as their prequels.
Same goes for UT2003/4, they won´t beat UT1999, and probably not UT2007 either.
Nowdays more attention is given to graphics, resaults in dull/boring gameplay and short single player. |

the Hl2 soruce engine sucks big time its the most sloppy enviornment ive ever worked in... AND you need microsoft visual whatever it is to compile a new stupid DLL for simple changes in game. *plugh*
Unreal is bulky and sorta slow in the development process but it has a nice organised modding enviornment and it is very versatile. HL2 can even be recreated from the unreal engine with a hell of a lot more neatness than valve executed it. HL2 is a great game and all but it was a sloppy execution. ugh, the loading times are even worse. I still think Unreal 2 was the greatest SP game ive played, its uniqueness brings it in first with amazing skill. Epic is the best game development corp ever made. Their support for the community is legendary... And they dont make you install and require a tiny CENSORED ) applet which NEEDS to connect to the internet to play their games... cough *steam* So at the times when the internet goes down and i want to play... no dice... 
so dont come in here with HL2 that engine is nice. but its sloppy and it sucks. the unreal engine is neat, fast, and superior in every way the HL2 soruce engine isnt. or at least the Unreal 3 engine will be... HA! |
