Has anyone played it yet! OMG!! It has to be THE best RTS game i have played. There is a button that you can press that allows you to view the battle going on, but in a cinematic view.
The demo is 776mb though, so not for the dial up people im afraid  |

I've pre-ordered the game. The trailers had me hooked but the demo dragged me in... not kicking and screaming mind... willingly.
This game is from the original makers of Command and Conquer... and it shows. This is a truely a game of distinction.
Anyone else ever play Supremacy (aka Rebellion in the US) ? |

So who actually has the game now?
I got this on release date, and haven't regretted it. The game is brilliant in all areas and it is very addictive. My fav type of battles have to be the Space Battles as you can have a massive fleet heading towards an enemy fleet and the battle looks great, espically if you use the movie button, which allows you to view the battle from a movie view. Another good thing is that you can select certain areas of a enemy ship, such as the sheild generator or laser cannon. This gives the game a more tactical feel. And if a enemy ship does get destroyed, you can see the debris and large chunks of the ship still floating around for about 5 mins before it completely blows up into dust.
The ground battles are just as good, as you can have a massive army fighting on Hoth and then comes a creature that comes along and eats your infantary or bash your armoured units. I have to say that this is the best RTS i have played... and saying that, im going to go play it now and destroy a planet with my Death Star (yes, you control that too  ) |

Yeah I got the game, havent had much of a chance to play it though, had a skirmish game against 'he that is known as garner', lost the first game, and my pc crashed the second game. probably not the games fault, every game was crashing the pc, CENSORED ty built in sound i think, threw the sb-live back in and it seems to work like a charm now!
Whats best, campaign or just doing a big old galactic conquest?
Hmm, and should I be the good guys? or see if I can make the evil guys win for a change!!  |

Well i have\'t played online yet, but hopefully i will today. If anyone wants a game, PM me (Note: I live in the UK, so be good if you lived in the UK aswell )
I prefer Galactic Conquest to campaign, but saying that Skirmish is pretty cool. I\'m always the Empire as i LOVE the Star Destroyers. They kick CENSORED  |

The SDs rule, i prefer them to the Rebellion Crusiers.
I prefer being the Empire as i love thier ships. The only advantage that teh REbellion has is that when you start you get 3 x-wing squadrons and they can easily kill the Ties, which means you have a greater advantage when you start.
I finally got to play online about 4 days ago, and i\'m surprised how smooth it actually runs on my 512kbps contection. It got a bit laggy on a 3v3 but on a 2v2 it\'s pretty good. I won 2 out of 3 games so im happy 
Garner, if you are up for a battle. I\'m always online from 6pm onwards |

The SD's can have their shields blasted out... Calamari Cruisers cannot.
Two groups of Y-Wings, one for the shield gen, one for the hanger. SD's are then easy pickings for anything with a gun. |

True, the SD's do have thier disadvantages with thier sheild Generator. But if you have a big squadron of Bombers than shields don't matter.
Anyway, instead of talking about it, how about we do a 'pratical'? |
