While I don't see using goober's name as reason for such a fuss, I can understand why it is.
Also, I could see taking a kid away from his parents for beating them, starving them, etc.; but not for playing a stupid practical joke on them (and please don't play the "emotional abuse" card, that would be just silly). |

What I was (am) trying to say is that I, myself, wouldn't put this (the scary video trick) under the heading of emotional abuse. Of course, there are those who would disagree. |

Mononucleosis I'm glad that my parents chose to beat me instead of yelling or pulling dumb stunts on me. Look how normal I turned out. Imagine if I had that done to me as they did to that little kid. I might be in prison right now for you know what to my parents.
I can take physical abuse but when they call me names. It's time to switch to physical to the abusers. Which means I become the abuser. It's a never ending cycle if you let it continue. 
The do unto others as you would have them do unto you doesn't always work. Especially if the one doing the deed is a little

No it's wacko to not show any compassion after the kid starts to cry. If that was my kid, I would have stopped filming when the tearing started to gush out.  |

I can understand showing compassion when someone starts to cry, but there are those kinds of people who will cry at the drop of a hat. This kid, from my point of view, is one of those people.
In this situation, it may be wise not to laugh and perpetuate (sp) the problem, maybe even apologize. But don't stop and coddle him just because he's crying over it. |

Well, I can understand Goober got pissed off, however there is no need for all this! Skiprat just takes the mickey, I can understand that Ferrit can pretty much every sane person can. It seems like its a little joke thats got taken and blown up to something its not chill out! I saw that video in college if its the one im thinking of, There is another one of Teenagers doing it on each other. its funny, sure I feel sorry for the kid at the end, but it IS funny.
Man all you guys need to Chill out.

Id just like to say thanks to NCF for that... and what really made me mad was the fact that he posted that i do something, which i didnt. and even if i did, its not my fault now is it?
Then you post a video that is clearly NOT me, and say it is. Then you post my picture, on an online forum for everybody to see when it proves nothing.
I would like it if this thread was closed and/or deleted so me, and everybody else would forget it. I dont think this would give new members a very good impression. |
