For those of you that remember, I've been yelling about how great Guild Wars is since release And, on April 28 Guild Wars: Factions is being released, the first expansion pack for the game.
Although, you don't have to have the original to play it, it is a complete game on it's own, and as big as the original, although there are benefits of having both games.
On March 24, there is a special online Guild Wars: Factions BETA event. Where for one weekend you can play Guild Wars: Factions all for free of course. Although this is only open to current Guild Wars owners, and whom they invite
I have two invitations to the BETA, which I'm willing to give out. All I need is your email. Although, if you're not that interested in the game, say so, as I'd rather give it to someone who really wants it. |

Depends how big the Client is. I wouldnt mind taking a look, gotta get my Wireless card sorted out so I can leave my Router plugged in permanently, stupid Parents
they hate the cable running from the phone socket to my room, yet when I asked did they want me t go wireless they said no, but every night they disconnect my cable , If I go Wireless, will just leave the router downstairs. |

We, guild wars players, already had a trial week end. We already tested the 2 new characters. What can we expect else. New missions? New landscapes?
They are not the reasons why we're going to buy the game. |

Doesn't everyone have this option? I know when I login I have the 'invite a friend to the preview' box over on the right side... have done for a few weeks now at least
Also... you used one of your invites? I've got 3...
[edit]
on a side note... are we preloading the preview already? Its only been a week since I last logged on and I've downloaded 138Mb in the background just sitting at the login screen typing this post... |

Factions Preview opened about 11 hours or so ago... looking good
I'm finding it hard to get to grips with the new characters... its because they give you a pre-built level 20 with a set 20-30 skills.
Now normally you start the game with no skills and you gain them slowly as you do quests or buy them from skill trainers. So you get to know the skill icons and what each one does...
The preview however with its maxxed out chars and given skills mean its in at the deep end...I've got 8 completely unknown icons on my skill bar and I'm randomly mashing them in order to find the one I remember reading the description of |

heh, sounds like someone is gonna need to practice then!
I hate being thrown in at the deep end if its a semi-complicated game, means you may never use something which your supposed to! |

Yeah, I gave the assassin a go... 25 energy is too low... especially when one of its combos uses 25 energy... didn't use it for long... you cant have an effective secondary profession with an assassin because of the lack of energy...
Deleted and created a Ritualist char... quite good, used it a fair bit played around with the skills went out doing a few quests but in the end have created a Necro with as many of my current Prophecies Necro chars skills as possible... enjoying it a bit more now |

In PvP, assassins are excellent, they can neutralize any spellcaster by dazing them for 8 sec.
In PVP, Ritualists are rather useless unless you use them as some kind of under-monk.
I created a funny monk/assassin for PvP. Try it.
