Hey!
I thought I'd make a little discussion for guitar players. Here's your place to talk about anything to do with guitars, what sort of guitar you have, if you've found any new "sounds" and tones that sound cool, you could even post links to examples of your work!
I've played guitar for about 5 months now. I'm not great but I'm improving quickly
My biggest inspiration was Daron Malakian of System of a Down, I think he's great!

This is my guitar, obviously not me holding it's not actually MY guitar, it's the same design! But the dials are black on mine
I hope people here DO play guitar, or I made this thread for nothing!! Lol... |

I play guitar as well. And like you exostatic, I have only been playing for a few months. I think probably four. I have improved quickly though as I practice A LOT. There are some days I spend 3-4 hours on it. Let me go grab a picture off the net of what mine is.

That is the exact guitar I have. Although in the thumbnail it looks scrunched, so open the link to see it in the correct scale. |

Nice, is that an Ibanez? The head looks familiar.. from this guitar!

I really really like these, I want one, I'd kill someone for one
well maybe not that far but look at it, it's beautiful
Edit: Sorted the image out I absolutely love this guitar. |

LOL cool, that epiphone was the last guitar I lost to the hockshop. I've played for about 12 years now. Can't recall all the guitars I have had. |
If I ever get to where I am going, will I know when I am there? |

I have played for about 3 and a bit years now and i have a really lame CENSORED ashton electric, but surprisingly it has served me quite well. Not a single string has been broken and i play lots of fast stuff like Slayer, which is probably why it sounds a little bit crap. |

Well I'm gonna go to the local guitar shop and have a look around. I'll have about 90 quid to spend.. probably get guitar, a strap and a plectrum or two.
Anyone have any samples of anything they played?
I got a couple but I don't like other people to hear them 'cos i'm crap! |

I'm getting my new guitar in an hour or so!
This is it.
A Tanglewood SG remake, second hand. It's got a really nice sound and I love the style and colour! Costing me £110! Ah well, it's worth it. |

Yeah, olga is still there, but there are a million and one tab sites. mxtabs isnt bad.
Going to treat myself to a new guitar after I get my car, been playing for about 6 years now, decided it was time to upgrade my dads guitar, got left to me after the divorce, poor thing was in the loft for 12 years before I got it down! most supprisingly, it hadn't warped, and still plays well! Its a Gibson ES-355 repro. I modified the bridge by taking out the two adjustment wheels to lower the action by a 1/8". Nice and low now. Have a few tracks on here that I recorded the other day, ill clean them up a lil and post them later.

I just cant decide on what I want to get next, could quite easily buy a nice acoustic, Martin, something real nice! (maybe cant afford a new one, but a good second hand martin would do me fine! Stunning guitars!), or electric, dont know which i want more... probably both! Or sod the guitar and get a nice amp! Mesa boogie valved! Ohhh heaven in a cabnet |
