Well if you were gonna spend all that money to get a 7800GTX 512mb then for a few extra bucks I would go with the new 7900GTX 512mb. They don't cost much more then the 7800GTX 512mb..

plus its got 100 added to it

... i need to update my card too , mine is a Ge-Force FX 5700 but the board was made by MSI ... it isn't incredibly old but still.

I like Nvidia chip sets but hate MSI boards

Plus i think it would be cool if i got one of those 4 cards that have 4 monitor outs ... but they are expensive for good ones .

Thx for the responds but I have one more question if I buy the78000TX512 mb card will my monitor be good enough.
My monitor is:
Monitor     COMPAQ QVision 210
Max. Resolution (HxV)     1280 x 1024 pixels
Screen Size (HxV)     40 x 30 cm
Viewable Diagonal Size     19.69 inch

Serial Number     1110454585

Will I see more and lag les by getting a new flat LCD screen?

there are rumors that you would see more lag on a flatpanel than a regular monitor but the truth is even if there is lag it would be so insignificant it shouldn't effect your gameplay ... if anything is going to lag its going to be your connection (if you're an online gamer ) or your CPU by the looks of it ...

CPU is fine.

Flatpanels can cause "lag" if the refresh time isnt low enough. i think the highest you should go for gaming is 8ms.

hehehe ... someone caught me taking a jab at intel.

but seriously, you do know those P4's cut their clockspeed by a half if it overheats ... and they heat up like skillets .

Hmm on the site I usually get my parts from its $668 for a 7800 GTX KO and $699 for a 512MB 7900GTX.. thats only a $31 difference.

unless u were talking about the number.. That 7900 is 100 above 7800

Not really... If they over heat they just restart your comp... But I've never had an over heating problem... I've had my 3.4GHz up to around 4GHz before and it still didn't over heat...
