Is there a possibility that there is indeed at least ONE supernatural being on the Earth right now? Call me crazy but who knows? |

Its certainly alot easier that way.
Though if i was an alien, id be terrified that Captain Kirk might really exist. How many years would it take for tv signals to travel the far reaches of the galaxy? They should be getting the first series of startrek soon! |

I dunno i really think the aliens would figure out that Star Trek isn't real ... i can picture them now saying to themselves " CENSORED , are those analog knobs!?! CENSORED is a Tribble! Captain Kirk is a pansy!" |

If the aliens come someday and invade earth do you really think they would say "take me to Captain Kirk?" |

They could be thick aliens like in Galaxy Quest and have no concept of deception for the purposes of entertainment.
Hehehe Gilligan's Island.... "Oooh those poor people"
Man I love that movie!
Well I am not sure. Being Christian means I have a certain belief in terms how everything came to be, so I do not believe aliens planted life on earth like that crazy religious group in the US does... hmm.. Arianites or something they call themselves. The ones who want to use cloning.
Anyway, I do think however, that the universe is one massive place... possibly infinite.. and I do find it a little hard to believe that God chose just one planet to put life on. As others have said, it may not be intelligent life, but surely there is some form of plant life, insectoid critters, or at the very least bacteria and virus type organisms. Maybe there is something really bizarre out there like lifeforms composed of pure energy or guacamole. |

You'll love this then!

A valid point I suppose. If I was god then I would have done it. It would get boring if the world was always the same! |

You guys ever seen this one intro to The Simpsons where it shows the family but then it zooms out outta Homer's head?
Or how bout at the end of Men In Black 2 where aliens are playing marbles and we're a tiny spec inside it?
Maybe we're just an atom of something else thats even bigger... |

that is a theory ...
I belive its called infinite smallness or something like that.
which is true, there can be infinite smallness but could you put matter in it or the biggest thing you could put in it is energy, or less.
I would like to belive that the big bang theory has happened several times ... we possibly could be caught in a pattern too if this has happened.
Think about it, what happens after the matter in the universe gets sucked back into one singularity, it collapses on itself and thats it ... nothingness? ... or does it explode again land restarts the universe?
Right now all the matter in the universe seems to be drifting away from other peices of matter, which is only explained by the big bang ... eventually gravity will overcome all of this and all the matter in the univers will be pulled back into one point again. |

wow thats a weird theory . I find it hard to belive though I don't think everyone will ever completely understand the universe ... as long as the human race lives we will only know a minisule amount of knowledge that is available for discovery in the universe ... a duck cannot learn calculus ... (unless we geneticly altered it ) In fact i think we will eventually destroy ourselves ... as we gain knowledge and technology we also need the responsiblity to use it to not harm people with it ... and there will always be a complete freakin psycho in the human race to screw things up.
BTW, is this forum supposed to be a un-official "bag on skiprat" forum? because i didn't get that PM. |

What if... (my new theroies)
We are an atom on another greater being (as stated) and this being dies.
We are an experament by some strange higher lifeform.
There is no earth - As we know it (Matrix Style)
There is no earth - We are all just imagining everything, we dont acually see anything, we are in a white box for all eternaty and will never be free, so we imagine these things to comfort ourselves.
We are an experament by some alien race who is breading us to be slaves.
Aliens have already invaded and conquored a lifeform on this planet, we are the decendants of these murderous beings.
There is another planet somewhere out there with all the things we have already invented already on it, naturally - and some things we dont have. On these planets there may be higher, more powerfull chemicals, electronics, and cures for some deadly desieses.
We once lived on Mars, but we had to flee to this planet, and no records were kept (Red Planet)
There is another race on another planet - exactally like us - imagining exactly what we are.
There was already aliens that came to earth, and gave us these experamental emements (chemicals, drugs, plants, other animals) to see how we would use them, and how they would react to our ideas, and our elements.
Ill think up some more after and tell you.
In conclusion, i dont think we will ever know the answer to this, unless some miricale happens and the person/thing who created us comes and tells us, we are only speculating.
Anyway, thanks for reading, and ill have some more after as promised. |
