Well there's no surefire way to beat him but I have some helpful tips...

When he goes to use the fireball attack he'll always bend over like he has a stomach ache first. When you see him do this, side-step immidiately (usually one side-step gets you out of the way but sometimes he might fire 2 or more fireballs in succession so just watch out).

If he charges up (the thing where he bends his knees and his hands start glowing)get ready for an uber-powerful attack. Sometimes it's the fireball in which case follow the above strategy, most of the time he'll try to bear hug you. It doesn't really put you in a bear hug but if he manages to hit you with it, he gains life as you lose it. Move away from him by pressing "back" (left button if you're on the left, right button on the right) twice. This will make you hop back and usually out of range of his bear hug.

His cheapest move is to hit you with a punch which is unblockable and doesn't do a lot of damage, if you're hit with it though, you will be dazed for a good 3 seconds in which time you'll be open to attack. Aviod it at all costs by back-pedaling or side-stepping.

Your best strategy would be to hit him a couple times and then back off or you will be screwed. Keep repeating that and block as much as possible (IF it's possible) and you should beat him. Also, learn your character's attacks and combos, using the same attack multiple times will only make it harder as he will start blocking like crazy.

Keep him on the ground as much as possible.

When he's down, keep him there.

Ah I remember playing Tekken 5, and I know that boss is one big flicking hard to beat son of a blimp!

just keep trying and trying is my only real advise.

Good luck with it!

Funnily enough, I found him the least difficult when I played as Lei or Roger Jr.
