If there was a thread to bring wrecks out of hiding it'll be this one

hehe right now im posting on one screen and watching movies on the other

Yup, browser on one screen, Winamp, Trillian, Ventrilo, WinTV all on the other. Can watch a DVD or TV (TV card in PC) whilst playing games... see what people are ICQ'ing me without alt-tabbing out of games... for development have code on one screen browser displaying the resulting display on the other...

You get the idea

The difference between multi displays and a big arse screen is that when you hit fullscreen on a single big display, your program goes full screen on that monitor. Full screen on a multi system goes full screen on that monitor only leaving the other screen free to have whatever else you want on it...

Hey I have a multiscreen problem on my monitor...

Ever since I installed my gfx card chip into my comp, the monitor acts like as if I have 2 screens because theres some space on the right side beyond my monitor. So my mouse goes past my monitor and other programs when I alt-Tab.

Any solutions to fix this?

Ok, with mine i have a Nvida driver that lets me do this ... does the desktop manager looks like this?:

If so ... i can help you .

I get a lot of crap from people for having two monitors ... they think its overkill, but they should try it . ITs soo much better . i get ticked off at school when i have to use the PC's with one monitor.

I looked at that projector idea ... the plans are cheap ... but if im thinking the same thing of what they are doing. Chances are its still going to cost a lot of money ... let alone risling breaking your LCD for nothing.

I agree, I run my laptop at home with a second monitor, and it really irritates me on the road that my screen size halves lol.

hehe so true He likes to show off his dual screens Dual screens are very handy when you work with things. No matter what it is.
My deskop looks like Windows95. A large plain space with a lot of icons in the main bar. No fancy play things
Usually windows overlap everything, all the time, thats why I think backgrounds are useless
And modern themes take up too much performance as well.

edit. oh wait, but I'm using customized colors

When I upgraded my GFX card in this PC I took the old GF4 into work purely so I could run two monitors off it... I was like you... getting a little annoyed with the single monitor

Before I joined my current employer they used to sell TFT's so finding a second one there wasn't a problem

I've started a trend... the other IT guy bought himself a video card for work just so he could run two monitors as well. Not to be outdone, I occasionally grab a third although sadly thats for running the Mac on... what a waste of electricity/TFT/money/floor space/desk space that machine is...
