I am currently turning RS2 into a AVI format and have been looking for a good, versatile, STABLE video editing program. ive taken a trip to download.com looking for trials of video editing progs...

My efforts prove futile... either every major brand video editing prog ive come across has a crap load of bad reviews discoruaging me or i have tried most of the ones that sound good and they make my pc have heart attacks from bad memory management and crash alot...

If its Ulead 8-9 forget it, you need at least 2-3 gb of ram to run the damn thing. NO i dont want to use windows movie maker. its feature span is like paint compared to photoshop and about as buggy as RED on a bad day...

Any suggestions to a nice video editing program would be appriceated.

You can always trust Adobe Premiere

I've tried Premiere Pro 1.0, Premiere Pro 2.0, Premiere Elements 1.0 and Premiere Elements 2.0 and my favourite out of all of them is Premiere Elements 2.0. It's easier to use then premiere pro but still pretty powerful and you can do lots with it quickly.

Just for reference, Adobe messed round with their model numbers, and 2.0 is in fact newer than 6.5

Isn't the system marvellous!

They must have forgotten to put a zero in front of 6.5. (or a zero at the end of the 2.0.)
0.6.5 <- old new -> 2.0.0 Does it make sense? nope

I never used/found a better video editing software than the WindowsMovieMaker The time it takes to save a video is extremely long and it cant do anything..
Thanks for the tip dazmac!

ya also 7.0 is actually 1.0 so if you see 7.0 don't get it because it's older then 2.0 not newer.
