I am about to buy a Nvidia Gforce 7800 GTX and my question is since my screen has a VGA plug and the card comes with a DVI plug. The card comes with an adaptor to convert from a DVI to VGA and i heard that it might reduce picture quality my questions is if this true.

My monitor has a vga connector so I need to use a DVI to VGA converter and everything still looks good. I don't think I would worry too much about having to use the converter, because picture quality is still great even with the converter.
its something to do with vga being slower refresh rate then dvi and when using the converter it adds a small bit more time on to the refresh rate due to having to go either from vga to dvi or vise versa. but if ur rig is decent u wont have much to worry about

well it all depends on if u have a LCD monitor or not as DVI is for LCD monitors.
Yes DVI is better in picture quality.......

I have a LCD but it doesn't use the DVI connectors. Oh well it still looks good hooked up to the converter.
