I just finished playing the mod...was playing on the streets map. After I killed 4 cops and was shooting at another one, the game crashed. This mod killed the mp2 engine |

Ok i have been playing this mod for 2 hours
In order for ME to make this mod work, i had to do those things in the first page and put the settings to high....
Well the gameplay....omfg...the gameplay is absolutely INTENSE!!!! Even though its just visuals...omg the camera shaking, the particles, they make the gun look so POWERFUL!!!
But when the game goes too intense, it crashes....making me restarting MP2.
Hope u guys enjoy it as much as I do 
EDIT: I also found out how to do the "special move"

yah, the bugginess is rly annoying but its still a pretty sweet mod. i also like how it includes a $hit load of custom maps (even if they are ones we have already played). i liked the voices at first, but i got a little annoyed by them after a while (they get tiring). |

DUDE! The mod is ultra sweeeeeeeeeet! BUT it also crashes for me, but I think it has something with the effects or the people firing because it doesn't crash until someone fires a couple of rounds.
I tried that change the widescreen-thingy and the subtitle issue, but it still crashes!
There has to be someway to fix it! Please someone! Fix this and be my hero! |

The -developer thing doesn't work for me. I guess I'll have to do the decompile thing...and everything else.

I don't get any error message, it just crashes right to desktop after one minute of shooting.
But hey Dalte89, In your next version (that hopefully works ) you should have an awesome intro movie, and I would be more than glad to help you make it.
I got some editing skills, fraps, ninja skills etc. |

I've updated my MP2 fo shizzle.
But does it crash on your comp Dalte89? What do you think it is that makes it crash on ours? I doubt it's the overwhelming effects on my comp, cos I tried one mod some time ago that had like almost unlimited decals, smoke, lights, etc. I got a error message that said that Max Payne 2 only allows X amount of something-something that I don't remember. (I got some decent specs on my comp too)
I'm not a pro modder, but sometimes if I made a typo in a config it usually just quits like EOS is doing on my comp now. And sometimes the stuff in the kf2 files don't comply with the files in the mod.
example: if you changed a skin and made it jpg you have to rename it in the kf2 file coz it's usually dds.
And when you tried everything suddenly you find what was wrong and you go: "AAAHHRG!" because it was always right infront of your nose or too easy. |

update to 1.01, and run it in developer with the following settings:

I'm not sure which of these settings are necessary, you can play around with them if you want to figure out what you can turn up and what you can turn down. I hope Dalte will release another version that isn't so buggy. |

It does crash but like not often at all. Maybe like once a day on my comp. My comp is not as powerful as my brothers. On my brothers own, everything is on High Graphical settings so it plays perfectly, but since it is so smooth, more paticles and effects show up, and the games engine probably cant handle it.
And trix the message about having X amount of something shows up on max projectiles being emitted from one object. Max Payne 2 does not allow a modder to make more than 6 projectiles emit from anything at the exact same time.
I will definitely make sure the mod will be much more optimized in the next version |

Made a "optional" add-on to this mod. known as more blood add-on. which increases the decal limit and enables blood decals to appear when a character ragdolls. It doesn't take up a slot in your mod selection. Files it goes right in your Max Payne 2 folder.
