That trailer didnt make much sense... Lets hope they show a bit more next time other than barren wastelands, chief emerging from dust, and a giant portal, or whatever that thing was.  |

So is this supposed to wrap-up the Halo story (as in NO MORE)? It seems the trailers for the big franchises are hinting at the end of the story arcs (refer to the MGS4 trailer as well).
By the way, how about the price of the PS3? |

I think that the PS3 is about $600.

Youre right it should be free... *slaps nightstrike* 100 dollars it too cheap! would YOU sell a state of the art gaming console for 100 dollars? probably not, well unless you were a millionaire...
IMO 600 dollars is a ripoff... just wait till the price drops down. |

Allegedly the $500 PS3 won't have HDMI support (not able to play Blu-ray DVDs, just PS3 games), thus negating one of PS3's biggest draws (doubling as a Blu-ray DVD player). |

Ill tell you why its so special. Because its made by Sony, and they are greedy bas*****! besides having 60 GB of space OMG I GOTTA GET ONE RIGHT NOW! ...NOT!
Thats more than enough to make anything special.
perasonally i would go with the lowest HD space available. if you really want the 60gb version spending 600 bux is on you. nobody is forcing you to buy THAT version. theres sopposto be other version cheaper with less space... i think. if its hard enough to fill up 60 GB of space on a PC HD what makes you think your gonna use up all that space on a console?
"oh boy, i have no more space i better remove some stuff... I cant wait to burn my new 'life is always against me' cd on it... WHO THE HELL SAVED 44998 SPLINTER CELL SAVEGAMES!" Also burning music onto a console HD is useless, since there is no way of retrieving it back once its on it. it could potentally be useful if someone is lacking a cd player / entertainment center but i highly doubt most people will just turn on a ps3 just to listen to music. which will result in a ton of fights between older and younger brothers anaways. One wants to listen to his precious music while the other wants to play his "tom clancys rainbow 6, the cheatin AI and the doomsday enema"

Its not just 20Gb vs 60Gb, the 60Gb one supports HDTV... if you've seen an XBox360 connected up to both standard TVs and HDTVs you'll have seen the difference...
nightstrike - the PS3 has a BluRay drive - one of the next gen DVD formats.
If you want to get a Blu Ray player for your TV they're estimating you can get a player alone for in the region of $1000... just like DVD players when they originally hit the market.
Or you can get a PS3 for $500-600 which lets you play console games as well...
Naturally the XBox360 is supporting the alternative next gen DVD format... drives out later this year. |
