IE Is the best browser! It Owns Fire Fox and Opera! But if I had to switch over to another browser I'd probably go to Opera. Fire Fox takes the longest to load, it's constantly crashing and it doesn't display some sites right. |

Internet Exploder has problems displaying html and javascript. IE doesn't even handle DIV callouts correctly.
Get Safari! |

I'd rather stick with FireFox thank you
And secondly, I find that Opera takes longer to load pages than FireFox.... |

Cough Cough
May i direct you to the link above? I agree each to his own, but that just goes to prove on a standard setup, similar comparisons that Opera is the faster of all the browsers.
Sobe, what program do I need to install Themes for XP? im not sure. |

May be just my computer then But Opera loads a lot slower than FF.
And for themes, you don't actually need any program, but I use StyleXP.
You could just right-click on your desktop and click properties. And where it says Themes tab, you should notice a drop-down box, listing a few things. You will need to go find a nice theme, and drop it in the C:\Windows\Resources\Themes folder. |

Well, opera doesnt load pages fast, buti find that its just a LITTLE slower loading images than FF, but i still like operas features. IE however, is terrible, open to almost all spyware and bad bad stuff... |

Beatonator you seem to have a nasty cold there. It's either that or maybe it's something somebody has been feeding.
To quote the page you cough about:
"Opera seems to be the fastest browser for windows"
Now lets take a look at a particular word in that quote. I wonder that that word means.
Oh wait here is the definition:
1. To give the impression of being; appear: The child seems healthy, but the doctor is concerned.
2. To appear to one's own opinion or mind: I can't seem to get the story straight.
3. To appear to be true, probable, or evident: It seems you object to the plan. It seems like rain. He seems to have worked in sales for several years.
4. To appear to exist: There seems no reason to postpone it.
Get your stories straight.
One browser might work better for some than others. For me IE works better than the others mention. Well except for the one that Hapa Hanu mentioned. All the others browse and run a lot slower than Internet Explorer and the reason why I still use it. Use what you want and are happy with, don't listen to anybody, especially me. |

i never listen to you guys ... i read
I honestly don't know which ones are better than others ... i was on IE for the longest time untill everybody said "switch to firefox you dope!" so i did ... now i actually have occasional pop-ups rather than never having them and my PC has been running a little bit more unreliable than when I used IE ... Really odd ... it seems whenever i load something that requires alot of memory (UED or HL2) it all of a sudden goes from really fast to barely a crawl (i have problems moving my cursor slow!)
of course it all could have been coincedence ....
But firefox is supposed to be the best ... i do like the tabs though . |

As soon as i saw the words "Mac" then "OS X" i put my finger down my throat and attempted to throwup because i felt the food i had just ate went rotten from reading those words. I had used mac with OSX for around 2 weeks straight in the past. after using it i wanted to tear it apart piece by piece and slowly crush the pieces with a brick, then take the remains and toss them in a volcano... The only thing a mac is good for is making videos.
Ill admit i still use IE but i will download Opera again one of these days. its a really good browser, fast too. I sound like a hypocrite now dont i? lol |

I wasn't trying to persuade others to go with Opera. I was merely producing results of an UNBIASED test. (read the opening paragraph or two)
and anyway...
Quote | However, Opera seems to perform admirably well on most tasks, on any platform. When it comes to page rendering (tables, CSS or images), most of the major browsers perform very fast, with very little to distinguish between them. When it comes to scripts, Opera clearly holds its head above the others, nearly twice as fast as the others. The only one that comes close is Safari 2.0, but that is tied to the Tiger release of Mac OS (currently in preview). |
Seems, however afterwards he does state that Opera is quicker on Scripts.
Quote | Opera also is a clear winner using history. In fact, on Linux it is faster than Mozilla and Firefox for all except starting time. On Mac and Windows, Opera is faster than Mozilla and Firefox for all tasks. Surprisingly, Mozilla is now faster at most tasks than Firefox (please don't send me any more emails about this line, I am well aware of why it is faster). Internet Explorer on Windows was either as fast as - or faster than Mozilla and Firefox for most tasks, with the exception of scripts, where it took over twice as long. Of course, its poor standards and security clearly make it a much less attractive prospect. |
Sounds like a great choice there. your better off running IE5, as IE5 actually performs faster than IE6! |

Just read this:
Quoting Results | ICEbrowser, although initially one of the slowest to start, was the clear winner at all other tasks, as well as having the most up-to-date scripting and CSS engines. Clue was clearly the worst browser, failing to run most of the tests. Well, at least I got it to start. |
HAHA. |
