Im curious of how you guys celebrate the 4th of July. Do you have noisemakers, party poppers and silly ahtes like a girl, or are you like an illinois resident and brings in fireworks from indiana and back illegally? I am bringing back fireworks and plan to wake up neighbors. Show everyone. take a picture.

most people around here go to missouri ... they have better crap than indiana anyday!!

Problem is we have to celebrate on the 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th now ... because they know our town is only 3 miles from the missouri border and we like fireworks ... They even set up blockades that you have to get by ...

even if you don't get the chance to go anyway ... people celebrate with gasoline

bottle rockets are pretty cheap ... about 10 or so bucks for 144 of them ... you spend most of your time trying to figure how to light them all at once *cough* bonfire! *cough* ... just, watch your head when you do that

Heres another safety tip ive learned the hard way ... dont jam the artillery shells into the tube ... i stood back about 6 feet expecting it to shoot up in the air ... instead it shot up about face level and exploded ... im lucky i didn't catch on fire.

oh and garner ... you UK guys weren't really that nice to us back then as you are now ... (not trying to spur anything like the Revolution again )

so is there any UK celebration where you get to play with fireworks ... or are fireworks banned completely in the UK ... Ill mail you guys some if you want .

In the UK we play with fireworks on Guy Fawkes Night (aka bonfire night), which is on Nov 5th and celebrates the failure of a plot to blow up parliament in the 1600s.

HAPPY 4th of July

Make sure you buy a crapload of illegal fireworks. And don't forget to light some off in your neighbor's mailbox! (not yet)

Bonfire night is huge in the UK!! You get to set light to things and blow CENSORED up!!! I'm suprised places in america have bans on fireworks! They are pretty common place here, theres normally a 'Trade Fireworks Direct to the Public' style shop somewhere in every town! lol! Though people have fireworks all year round these days!

We do have to go to the French Hypermarkets to get bangers though.. pretty sure you cant get them here. Well at least thats the case for school kids, I think its the sole purpose of 'French Trips'! Nothing quite like visiting the old WW1 trenches and lighting a few for old times sake!
