A new addition to the account page has appeared, showing you how many forum posts you've made, files uploaded and reviews made.
Each of these actions scores you a certain amount of points, leading to a contribution rank... or as I see it... how cool a member you are 
To see your account breakdown, login and visit..
http://www.levels4you.com/account.l4y
This system will be expanded over the course of the evening so that other users can see your stats from your forum posts.
Just remember... you can only gain 3000 points from forum posts alone. To gain higher ranks you'll need to review the files you've downloaded or upload files for others to enjoy!
As of the launch time of this new system, I've backdated your scores and statistics as much as possible. We never stored data on how many files or reviews you had rejected so that data is new from now

Profile button on each user now shows a full breakdown of their points.
Staff members have their own points system... if you view one of us you'll also get stats about what we've done.
Bear in mind that no data was stored for screenshot uploading or links posted in the past... so data for all staff members in those two fields is 0 at the moment. |

 my files I uploaded for c&c:zero hour don't count, and since when have I done any reviews (3? where did they come from) lol anyway I'm sure I'm cool, I don't need a ranking system to show it  hahaha |

It might well be that only staff members are getting attributed the uploads.
Thinking about it... this is probably it... a file is only attributed to its uploading user account until a staff member accepts it... when it records the ID of the user who accepted it onto the site.
Records from now will work because its a seperate count whereas the derived data for this initial score set was all based on existing data recorded over the last 6 years...
The only overlap between staff and member points are files uploaded.
A staff member can get member points for an upload and then staff points for the administrative function of checking the file and adding it to the site. Promoting staff members to go out and finding new files to add to the site...
Staff members will only gain staff points for adding files uploaded by other members. |

Yeah, CnC section has long gone so no-one got any points for those... that said the 3 reviews attributed to you may well be from the old CnC section.... I dont think the reviews for the files were deleted so they might still exist hence your points for that... |

This is... VERY interesting to say the least.
This is ONLY an idea, but what about giving this place like a "points shop." That allows the user to change... say their forum name to another color, or something in that fashion per however many points. Just an idea ^_^ |

Points are just the begining sobe... ideas put forward when I was discussing this with friends went something along those lines.
Right now though they're just points with a future unknown purpose |

So will users just get credit for files they upload from now on or will they never get the points only staff will? |
