A new addition to the account page has appeared, showing you how many forum posts you've made, files uploaded and reviews made.
Each of these actions scores you a certain amount of points, leading to a contribution rank... or as I see it... how cool a member you are 
To see your account breakdown, login and visit..

This system will be expanded over the course of the evening so that other users can see your stats from your forum posts.
Just remember... you can only gain 3000 points from forum posts alone. To gain higher ranks you'll need to review the files you've downloaded or upload files for others to enjoy!
As of the launch time of this new system, I've backdated your scores and statistics as much as possible. We never stored data on how many files or reviews you had rejected so that data is new from now

It was more because I was interested in finding out who was doing what on the site. A lot of you guys I see posting a load in the forums... but I couldn't tell if that was it... was interested in seeing how many reviews were being made etc
Add points on to the stats for doing things and voila... turned it into a system you can all use and compete with each other... hopefully increasing the user submitted content... eg files and reviews.
A staff points system was tacked on for a similar reason... its not easy seeing who on staff is active when some staff don't post news but are checking reviews out instead as the news posters get visible credit whilst the review checkers are forgotten about. Not anymore... |

To bad there wasn't a way where you could submit the name you upload files under in account settings or something then it would do a search for that author and add up all the files and add it to your score.  I could have like an extra 5000 points... |

There will be a public chart of some description next month. The system records scores on a monthly basis and at the moment they're all 0.

I still don't understand how the points work..but anyway I find it is strange that ioo0ange0ooi has so many points!  I can barely see him on this site. LOL (not meaning he isn't doing anything..he is a cool mapper and person and my friend!!  ) I'm sure he earned it, I just would like to know how he did that (I think he reviewed a lot)
You get points for each thing you upload? Many points? I hope people will still (well, some never do) be looking for quality work, not just for points and a ranking.
btw. Garner wouldnt that mean that my translation file was incompatible now? I already spent some hours on it, but the file is HUGE, it has about 900 or 1000 lines. I think I'm at line 300+ now.
The "not knowing if it will work" is my greatest fear. I wouldn't be that happy if it the file wasn't useable after all that writing..and hesitate spending too much time on it.

Actually all the translation files are out of date. Everything new is currently hardcoded as English... the core parts of the site are covered in the translations however. Nothing has changed within the translation files therefore... |

Damn how can I open a profile of someone without seeing a post of him I mean I can only access the profile of someone by clicking on the Profile button of him, but what if I can't find it..?
