Well the maintenance work is pretty much over, just letting the dust settle now.
As you can see we've updated the look of the site a little - initial feedback has been positive so far - thank you!
One little thing to mention... if you're getting logged out/session expiring when going between sections that is I'm afraid a temporary side effect of what we've just done.
Nothing to worry about, it'll solve itself in the next few hours. |

Ok the code I've got isn't uni 1.0.... its uni 0.5 lol
L4Y MK1 - 100% HTML
The template we actually launched with was a solid red, not lined like this.
Absolutely disgusting 
MK2 was when I started to add PHP stuff to the site. Sadly I cannot find any pictures of this but the template was almost the same as the mk1 but with black blocks for the navbar similar to the way we have the blocks on the navbar in this latest version (MK7)
MK3 - Unified arrives. The red was dropped!
MK4 - The first blue version arrives.
The top right area with the CDC fading away was actually a little Flash block - it advertised various areas of the site
MK5 - Upgrade of MK4
MK5 had two other optional templates for users... the MK3 template was one of the choices. The biggest difference is no more Flash block in the top right.
MK6 was the first after we dropped Unified in favour of the current code.

MK7 actually has two templates... the one we just got rid of and the new one.
The MKx designation isn't templating, its the code that runs the site. All other template changes have come about when we've switched codebase or upgraded the site code.
This switch is purely templating.

I am going to have to agree with Sobe... Why did you post in this topic just to point out that adam made no sense? Anyone that reads that post probably wont make sense of it anaway. I couldn't make sense of it. Last time I checked, having fun isnt breaking the forum rules. 
anyways the site looks better. It's alot less square. AND!!! I noticed you finally got rid of the eve news bot. Lets throw a party! |

D2k, it was more than that, I deleted his text that was bypassing the word filter.
Also, good ol' MK5 ^_^ Everything was laid out in front of you of where you wanted to go. Heh, I only knew this site since MK3, never saw MK1 |

Site looks great Roger. Text is way easier on the eyes now, more than ever before. It's interesting to see the changes from the beginning.
Have you tried Google Analytics? They are a great way to track loads of information for the site. Although I am sure you have that worked in, Google is free and could give you more ideas for tags, etc. Nice tool for admins. |

After a while I just had gotten so used to it I didn't notice. But now thats its gone theres no more useless news posts every 6 hours. I think you would have preferred it this way because I don't think you would have appriceated me complaining about the EVE newsbot every few weeks until I drive you mad to remove it... Or me... |

I didn't mind it... I liked reading the news from EVE. That was the whole point...
We dropped the game from here so the EVE feeds left as well. The news bot lives on... |
