Id like to know what virus protection that person had lol... I have Norton 2006 but as we may all know, not all anti-virus programs can stop all viruses from breaking your computer... Maybe that user knew what would happen so he/she fixed a computer up to record this happening to the computer to warn others! Thank god they did! |

Quoting goober | I dont recommend using IE under any circumstances... |
Since the release of IE7 the software has gotten to be much, much more secure. There's nothing horribly wrong with running IE7... yet. I don't recommend running any older versions, though. |

I agree with that IE7 is usable ... but still nowhere near as good as FF and Opera. |

I didnt say it was unusuable, i said i do not recommend it. Why would anybody use it when there are much much better browsers out there? (Firefox, Opera)?

I installed Firefox a while ago and still mostly use IE and the latest edition of IE seems to have improved alot! So tell me I'm curious, what makes you think Firefox is much much better than IE, what is there for me to discover that i haven't discovered just yet? |

Don't take this the wrong way, but I WILL NOT TAKE that recommendation. I like Microsoft IE. You might think that I am foolish for making that decision but that is Garner's and your opinion. I've never had a problem with any version of IE. I don't go to web site that I don't know nor trust. If you do then its foolish of you.
I've DO NOT like the way Opera, Netscape or Firefox look or feel. I do have Firefox install, that one I can tolerate but on some site, it doesn't allow me to see certain things(safety issues). When that happens, I copy the address and view it with IE, which is what is my default browser.
Just in case you are wondering, I am using:

Internet Explorer v.7

Ive not used IE7 but only a few times, I will download it and see if i like it anymore than previous versions of IE. If its like Microsoft's History, it wont be good (Just joking ) |

I didnt have a problem using IE7 (minus one humorous one generated by L4Y)
BUT IE7 seems to have terrible slowdown while downloading which FF just doesn't seem to have, FF handles RSS feeds much better IMO, FF has better plugins/theme support and I prefer the way FF handles downloads.
Also IE7 does some strange things to the map in Planetary Command. |

That is probably the main reason why I rather use IE instead on any other Internet Browser. I like the "save as" feature which allows me to choose a different location on to which to save the file. I know I can do the same with the others but it's just easier with IE. |
