Ok, so after a modder really got my blood steamed in Dinner is servered, I stroll over there to request RCON in the forum.
Sigh... can't I just play a few games without getting too involved?? LOL
Anyway, I register on the site and then get the confirmation email and all is fine..... until I try to post in the forum.

WHO HID THE BUTTON THAT LETS YOU START A NEW TOPIC????? LOL
I can read all the threads but I can't start one.
What's going on here? Is it me? Do I smell bad?... *sniff* *sniff*... awww man!

Fear not Kiliad, this is a re-occurring problem with the board. Zinki and The Gov have attempted to figure out why this happens to no avail. All the custom button link codes have been gone thru several times and re-verified.

Which internet browser are you using Kiliad?

All I can say is that Internet Exploder 6 seems to have the most difficulty in loading the New Topic button. How or why? We just dont know. Other browsers like FireFox and Mozilla (and MAC IE 5 & 6, Safari and FireFox) load 'em just fine. The other peculiar factor to this situation is that this New Topic button is missing for Australian visitors more than other continents. How or why? We don't know that either. The Gov has used Internet Exploder versions 5, 6 and 7 to visit and manipulate the Dinner Board - and has noted that all buttons were visible and functional.

To reassure the entire RF community, Dinner members are allowed to start topics and polls in every section of the board except for the Administrator's Say, which has alledged importance anyway.

Don't worry Kiliad, you don't reek any worse than I do. And furthermore, smelly visitors are always welcome because they are honest and obviously have nothing to hide. I don't mind getting whooped in RF either - as long as I can get a remote charge frag on someone or victimize someone else with a beatdown - it's all good.

I will drop Zinki and The Gov a phone call and tell them to get on it.

It will be the quest for the New Topic button.

He's talking about a different forum... if you read the thread its quite clear they're not talking about here

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!

My firewall caused it (Zone Alarm).
I added the site to the Privacy section in it and enabled Private Header and Third Party Cookies. Then it showed all the buttons plus some other graphics that made the whole site look much better.

Now if I could just figure out what the heck is going wrong at Panjaland and Redfactionnet. They won't send me confirmation emails LOL!

Third Party Cookies

Isn't that just another word for stale cookies?
I mean if they didn't get eaten in party number one or party number two, they must be stale by now.

I had no idea third party cookies could be soooooo stale and troublesome.

I had no idea that Zone Alarm was the culprit.

I can't wait to shame the The Gov over this - the opportunity is so rare.
