This could be a number of things, it just depends on what motherboard you have.
Make sure the RAM, CPU and graphics card (if there is one) are all slotted in properly.
Also check that your mobo leads are connected to where they are supposed to.
They are usually a cause of a long single beep and failure of startup. |

And each of these can be identified by your motherboard manual as well. |

Nah it is probably the graphics card, RAM or a HDD that is broken or not connected properly so make sure everything is connected properly and se if that helps |

How can a PC overheat when it just started?
Push the RAM further into the slot, it might be it. |

It could be that because its new... its dead on arrival. Motherboard realises its got at least one dead stick of RAM in it and beeps at you to take it out...
Something to think about if pushing it in fully doesn't help... |

Easily I had this problem due to a faulty fan that I took apart to clean and never put back together correctly >I bent the casing slightly and the fan then stuck, dumb a$$ me< caused me no end of bother till I realised that overclocking and incorrectly working coolents was a no go. never assume anything with these damn infernal machines sometimes the problem is the last and most basic thing you would expect
ALso must not assume that maybe his ambient temperature is the same as yours he may live in a volcano for all you know .............I know unlikley but hey ya never know |
