sOME YEARS AGO I was showing a friend of mine RedFaction.
He was already 38 years old and it has been his first contact to multiplayer internet gaming.
We were working quite hard at this time,
but he was addicted to the game within 5 minutes in a way
I could never imagine before!
He was playing day and night, always telling we could finish our work tomorrow.
In the end he get fired after another 6 month of nonstop gaming at work...
But he never would have had the intension to kill someone in real life!
But he mutated to a kind of freak.
It helped him a lot that he was fired, cause after another few month he couldnt pay the internetconnection anymore and has been forced to forget about RedFaction and to concentrate on real life again.
He decided to change his lifestyle and is now a gardener all day long working outside.
Whenever he is visiting me in my office I make sure that the computer is shut down. |

.......Thank god what i see in the Screen i don't do (or want to do)
Back a few years ago it was people in US jails playing GTA, As soon as they where released they would do crime and blame it on GTA.
It is people like this who get video games banned etc ( i know man hunt got banned from alot of places, Man hunt 2 is comming out this year)
Its not just Games people blame for Killing
Columbine High School massacre for example they tryed to blame Marilyn Manson for the two boys going on a rampage due to his music making the boys do the crime
What i think is Ameriacans are affraid so when they do somthing like killing some one they do it cause they are affraid, If it wasnt for the British who came to America years ago being affraid of Native Indains America wouldn't have as meny guns.......But they where affraid and still are Then being affraid they go out and kill to protect themselfs then blame it on VIDEO GAMESand MUSIC
Look at it neighbour Canada, Less shootings, less crime, Alot of doors Unlockd because they are less affraid and don't have to blame a video game for killing, they don't even show up on the news every Night for Going to war with a random country or A hudge Crime.
IAM PROUD TO BE KIWI WHERE THERE ARE HARDLY ANY GUNS!
So rember Kids of the Net "Its only a game" Don't go out with a weapon and do crime and blame the Game, It Ruins it for the rest of us
If you can not tell the difference between Game and Reality please leave Violent games and play somthing like DDR at you'r local Arcade |

Clearly you're all too easily influenced by the games you play.
Hmmm that gives me an idea. How about an FPS game based on your own life.... or the kind of life you're supposed to lead. Once you're addicted to it, you'll start to behave like the character you play..... which would make you normal.
For example.... KIliad Faction.
The game where you work all day for a meagre income and totally fail to impress women because you have no fashion sense.
Weapons : Deodorant, Electric ear hair cutter, mouthwash, athlete's foot powder.
10 levels of thrilling adventure including A trip to the dentist, A week of diarrhea, Being attacked by a ferocious dog and many more. |

Yeah, I think RF generates a bit more anger than it gets rid of... Mainly because the whole THQ deal and all.. |

The main thing that triggers anger in games is the fact, someone being beaten by someone else badly. They get so angry because they cannot simply can't hack it when they are being beaten.
but the whole nonsence of this kid being jailed for creating a school for CSS is defently beond the joke... Officals too jumpy incase the same crap happens like in Viginia... The worse part of it is that they blame it on a game they hardly know of or have ever played...
Violent games should not have any bans to them... They are bought under user needs.
They put age limits on the games, thats fine. You have people complaining about little children playing these games, Its entirely up to their parents wheather they play the games or not... Children cannot walk into a video store these days no more and buy a game rated 18 when they are about 12 - 16 years... So the parents buy them instead.. Thats basically a parent saying "My child has permission to play this 18 rated game off me because i believe my child will not mimic any events within this game"... |
