This means shutting down the existing server while the new one is configured which WILL stop all downloads until its all up and running again... Sorry about this, we're just trying to make things a little better [edit] Back up, nothing was solved tho. See forum comments for details. Turns out my replacement piece of software is a POS and its managing program refuses to recognise that the daemon is even running. Great piece of software... I enjoyed uninstalling it. Back to old solution for the time being. Nothing was solved. The server was rebooted during the FTP install, you probably reached the site while the www server was running but the database wasn't yet.
