Just found this game, called Fracture

It features high quality, real-time terrain modification.

Similar to RF's Geo-Mod, I simply named this Terra-Mod

What do you think??

PS. Watch the trailer and youll see

Doesn't look like you can actually dig into the ground like you can in RF.. Just looks like you can raise the ground.

Get a Wii.

That game looks pretty neat, but it's nowhere near the advancement geomod was. Geomod is completely changing the geometry of a map, that game just looks like it has a dynamic heightmap which, IMO, doesn't seem too hard to accomplish.

wow very interesting. the perfectly formed ball of rolling earth seems like a bit much, but im very interested to see how this new terrain mod affects/interacts with a FPS game style.

I highly doubt it'll do well for multiplayer, as the physics calculations seem monstrous and could severely bog down an internet connection. As for single-player, though, only the AI can determine how this'll pan out. Crappy AI can totally ruin this concept. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
