Version 2 of the queuing system... this time you are given a unique user ID that keeps track of you. Your IP address doesn't matter...
Same system as before... you click to download, window pops up and tells you that you have entered the queue.
When the download is ready a little sound plays to warn you. Make sure you click that link within 3 minutes otherwise your download spot will be given to the next person in the queue to prevent people from purposely holding everyone up.
If your browser doesn't automatically refresh, it isn't my problem. This works perfectly in Internet Explorer 6, Opera 7, Avant, E2 and Mozilla Firefox. If you have one of these browsers and your window isn't refreshing every 60 seconds (note that your queue position may not change each time you refresh) then its a setting on YOUR PC that is causing the problem... NOT the queue. |

This new waiting inline SUCKSSSSS..... I never had a problem before, when you could just download something. Why all this stupid change, and I find it hard to beleive that 30 something people would want to download the samething I want, when it is an oooooold dl.

i agree i had no problem downloading before whenever i wanted but now it takes ages to start downloading it |

Guys...just read the site feedback forum. Its full of people who couldn't download before.
We changed it because they were having errors. The fact that they can now download means I dont care how much you whine about having to wait... its not changing. |

I've been trying to download 2 simple files since yesterday on and off. I start off around cueue 27 or so( even though there is only 10 people on the site at that time, 2 of which were downloading). So i walk away and come back 15 min later and there is a page cannot be displayed in my cue window. Same thing every time. Still have not been able to download anything. Not sure how long the wait is for being #27 in line because i have never been past 17. |

You shoul read how the queueing system works here again, most probably you've missed the 2 minute window when you are given the chance to actually start the download, if you don't within those 2 minutes, you take up space other users will gladly use and you will be kicked toward the end of the queue. |

Just a thought, instead of having to click again when you reach the end of the que, just get it to dl automatically? Is this possible or not?

Yes... but only if no-one uses Internet Explorer anymore.
Its the only browser out of the 5 tested that cannot cope with that. |

Oh, my favorite part of it all.. when I try to register, all the red x's.. but my absolute most favorite part is when I wait in line for 45 minutes to download a 300KB file, i'm #2, and I get a "This page cannot be displayed" error.

The red x's had been fixed... but I forgot to upload the new file. Sorry about that...
As for the page cannot be displayed errors...steps are underway to rectify the whole situation... hopefully it'll all be back to normal soon.
