Just so everyone knows...
L4Y now has two servers. One for the site, one for the downloads. If anyone complains this time I'll send them the bill for the second server 
The queue system is STILL being used and for the moment is still using 10 download spots. Once the server swop is complete I'll open that up so more people can download on the file server.
Moving the site *should* sort out the 500 server errors.
However just to add to the confusion the host network is having some router problems leading to the occasional 'error reading server response' type errors in Opera (dont know what you get under IE... probably some form of server error message) |

When I click to download a map, it just keeps redirecting me to L4Y homepage.
I feel like I went back in time too... I had 3 or 4 posts come up missing. And my postcount is like i never made them.  |

Smokemon - your ISP needs the DNS information for files.levels4you.com
It works for me here (although www.levels4you.com hasn't updated yet...  )
I'll change to the IP address version while DNS sorts itself out... |

Simple...your DNS hasn't updated yet... you wont be able to use any levels4you.com url address... just be patient... |

I deleted your first post... as far as I could tell it had nothing to do with the topic...
I did say about 6 hours ago that the server move had started... anything that occured after that point wouldn't be carried over to this server...
Downloads are being sorted... seems the old server doesn't like port 80 anymore. Works fine on 81... but not 80... weee... fun... |

Now that we have this new server, are we allowed to upload images again? That was very useful... Also, the FTP is still the same right? nothings changed there? (me stupid  )
Also, are you still thinking about hosting caption compititions? I love caption things, but it never seemd to happen... 
If we do get an image uploader though, make sure we can upload flash files along with it Just like over at CI.
And 1 more question... Will there be any more templates for the site later on? I really enjoyed the new look to l4y |

No images... at least not yet.
FTP details are still the same... they're always on the submit page anyway...
More templates may be arriving at a later date...
Please note that at this time the file uploader hasn't been tested... its across two servers now so things may need tweaking...

You can upload files just fine... bug in adding the file to the site... but at least you can upload them |

Yup... Geocities is free though
the load.l4y is responsible for a lot of things on the site... usericons, graph images, potd images... the list is quite long... anything that needs 'loading' really 
Its appearing on the online page because of the way the site is setup at the moment. Normally it is ignored. |
