Yes, the CDC's are back... and better than ever 
For those of you who have forgotten what they are since we moved servers in May 2003 or are new to L4Y since that time, a little explanation of what the CDC's are is in order
The CDC is a place where level/map designers can show off their ongoing/complete projects, right here on Levels4you.com.
This means if you have a project that you are working on (eg a modification for a game or a map pack) either on your own or as part of a team, you can gain valuable exposure and webspace needed to promote your project... right here on the site!
You get...
WebSpace for your gaming project(s), for pictures of upcoming releases, releases or other files related to the project!
Your own poll and news posting system.
New to this version of the CDC are the following features...
Bug Manager - You can gain feedback from users via a form, handy for beta releases and testing!
Team Management - Allow team members access to post news and/or files to increase your workspace activity.
What do you need in order to use the CDC? Just your L4Y username and password 
Visit the CDC for more information. All games we support here will have their own CDC!

How do you actually create a CDC? I can't see where to do it. I might be blind, but i'm not stupid. |

If you cant upload then its something you are entering wrong. Make sure you are using the correct FTP server, username and password (on the FTP upload page - note it is DIFFERENT to the normal FTP upload as it is on a different server!)
I just happily uploaded a png and jpg file. No problems... |

You do not create a CDC. The CDC is where you create a project workspace...

Choose the CDC that your project 'falls under'.
Choose the big 'PPP' button at the top of the page. Maybe that needs to be made clearer... |

Are you sure you used...
server : www.levels4you.com
username : cdc
password : cdc
...as it states?
Because it works PERFECTLY here. I can login without a hitch. If I can use the FTP server... there is no reason why it should block anyone else. |

Garner, Ok I finally figured it out but now i ahve a problem, It says that there is an error under the file i have when i try to delete it. And it lists it to download and when you go to download it, it gives a file called Dead Man Flying
I get this error:

Thats temporary Beast... scroll down you'll see some text output that is stretching the bar.
Debugging a small problem with the nav bars.
As for your problems Outlaw... its probably the stupid characters you've put in the filename. I'll check out why the code doesn't like them now... |

Nope... you submitted the form before the FTP had finished uploading. It would have failed to copy the file over from the FTP upload location to your workspace because of that.
I've added in a check now to detect that so it shouldn't happen anymore. |
