There are two ways to get your files on L4Y...
1)
Release it onto the net and wait for our staff to find and post it here. Could take days...weeks (or months/years depending on the mood of the staff member   )
2)
Submit it directly and have it posted within a few days!
No brainer really
Dont just think you can only submit your gaming files to us, if you've got some interesting screenshots you'd like to see us use for a Picture of the Day (POTD) on the front page, then you can submit POTD images to us as well!
Please note that we currently have enough POTD's to last us up to April 16th. If you submit a POTD to us and dont see it for a few weeks, dont panic... its probably in the queue waiting to be added |

Being staff is showing off your power and privileges , censoring whoever you want, deleting the posts of whoever you don't like, closing any thread you are not interrested in. Or actually, that is what i would do if i was a staff member. |

Not, right now I was adding names to files that didn't have authors. Currently there are 140 maps with the author name as "Unknown", which means that there was no author name submitted when the file was uploaded or the name got lost(like a lot of the screen shots) when the web site was tranfered to this server. I have to download the file and then hope that the mapper was smart enough to add his name to the .rfl file (red faction) or that he added a read me file with his/her name on it.  BTW there are other that would need to be fixed too with different names.
You see any of the other staff doing this... LOL You can't you big dummy. It is all done behind the scenes and time comsuming.
Being staff isn't just checking the forums and deleting your post. It's a lot more than that. Ask Escaflowne_11, ask him if he ever did any of those things.
These Hosers are pissing me of "B.A.R.F. Daily" & {GRIM} too many maps without names. |

I might add that I thought about doing this for a long time now. It's loads of work. Who knows if I will ever finish it or if I will ever get to the CTF section?
GOD I miss Foe, she always helped me out on this type of excruciating work.
Oh yeah being staff allows you to double post.

True.
But Mono doesn't work in my section, so it doesn't matter to me what he does or does not do. It't not my job to keep him in check.

This piece of utter nonsense made me laugh out loud!
I'm the staff member that does by far the most filescavenging, it even consumes less than 5% of my free time and I don't have a whole lot of that!

My God, Mono comes out of the cracks , Your IMS box is full Mono...empty it please.
If your staff most of the time all you get is being annoyed be users who either have no clue about anything, just like to complain about everything they see or clearing up forums wars with CENSORED heads children who cant read the rules, and this is so off topic I don't even want to think about it. |

True and make sure you include a read me file file any levels submitted. And add the authors name. It would make myour job easier at the site. I mean so far I have added author names to more than 257 files with at least 86 more in the CTF section of Red Faction. (I say more because I knew some of them and I didn't have to download them to find out who made them. I am talking about mappers like [TF] Vixtran, Mad Cat, RED-FROG and one from WRECKS. LOL
People think that read me files are not important, but trust me they are.
Now who said that being staff is easy and fun.
