Hello, i was woundering if anyone was able to help me with an issue. Allow me to explain.

I have purchased a Wireless USB Adapter IEEE802.11g, It has been installed Successfully and works fine. Now, heres the main deal.

I am connected to a Local Area Network (Wired) that is then connected to a Modem. Image below illustrates how my LAN is set out.

I have this Wireless USB Adapter connected to my computer and it has two abilities: Infastructure Mode and Access Point Mode.

I want the USB to be an Access Point so using the settings, I change the USB to a Access Point so it acts like a Wireless Router connection.
I want to make it so that any other device like my Nintendo Wii can connect to my USB and use the internet by using Internet Sharing so it can download updates and all...

The Nintendo Wii connects to the USB perfectly fine, but accessing the internet is a problem.

I have tried Bridging my LAN and USB connections together to see if the Wii can use the internet, that did not work. I have turned on Internet Sharing for both connections since only 1 can be enabled with Internet sharing. That has failed too....

I am out of options and from here, I do not know what I can do to get this to work Successfully.
I am running Windows XP Media Centre Edition.

I hope someone can provide me with some help . Im Desprate to get this to work!

Thanks if you can help!

I never have a firewall on. If I have a firewall on my computer, other computers are not able to access my shared drives over the network. So Firewalls are turned off.

Im just running Nintendo's (well buffalo's) Wi-Fi dongle so I don't have to do any of the setting up.

But this won't work for you as it only works with the DS and Wii so other PCs cant use it to connect to a network

So what your saying is that If I get one of those Wi-Fi Dongles Nintendo produce, it might work? Even on a Local Area Network.

I want to know if the WiFi dongle works on a LAN because all nintendo explained was about a Broadband Connection - >PC - >Nintendo WiFi Dongle. They did not say it would work with a
Broadband - >LAN - >PC - >Nintendo WiFi

My computer is one of 5 connected to the Internet (via wired connection) on my network.
All computers and modem are connected to a central HUB.

Wi-Fi dongle is connected to my PC via USB, the software you get with it sets up another network connection on your PC which shares the connection that gives me the internet (ie wired connection)

So basically if your computer is getting the internet the wifi connection will share it, I don't know if a wireless connection will interfere at all.

So basically mine goes
Router (internet) ->HUB (lan) ->PC ->Wi-Fi Dongle (Internt now accessible by DS and Wii)
