This may sound a bit odd, and I'll fully understand if my post is modified or ignored; but does anyone happen to know any popular modder's site(s)? I'd like to do some research and try and come up with some anti-cheat tactics.
Note: Do NOT post the URL here, either PM me or contact me some other way. I don't want cheating to be advertised...  |

I know thats not what i do... Well kind of. I do that when i find modders in public servers who refuse to leave and are ruining the game for everyone else in the server... Then i get them to come to my server to get their IP. These types of modders would most likley never stop anoying people, so this is the way to stop them. I don't go into modder welcome servers and harvest modders to ban them, i get ones who are cheating in public servers. |

exacly my toughts, people seem to forget that not all modders are ignorant fools who takes joy out of destroying other people's game. By making a server called ''all modders come'' you also invite normal players who mod in modding servers. It simply isin't fair |

Radiactive, i HOPE you are misunderstanding. I refuse to lay off modders, but i dont go to modding servers and harvest modders, nor do i start "Modders Welcome" servers to get IPs. When i find modders in public servers, i bring them to my server (if i can) to get their IP.
For the record, talking modders out of modding usually fails, but i try nevertheless.
Also, if you are assuming that Assman wants to cheat then you are sadly mistaken. Assman and I both want to stop cheaters who feel the need to anoy people in public servers. |

The idea was to gather a little bit of intel so I could know the common modding changes and hopefully find a way to counteract them on my own server. I'm not against modders that mod in servers allowing it, just those who choose to cheat in regular servers. I figured if I knew what mods people were using I'd know what to look for and/or possibly disallow. |

Personally, wether or not they are in a mod friendly server, i dont think that cheaters should be allowed anyway. Server-Side mods im fine with, client side mods im fine with, cmd-line mods im find with, but im NOT fine with cheating mods in multiplayer.
Fortunatly for these "modding clans" i dont enforce my personal opinion when it comes to the community.
Let me say this ONCE more...
I DO NOT get IPs of modders who go in modder welcome server and add them to the list, I get IPs of modders WHO JOIN REGULAR GAMES AND REFUSE TO LEAVE WHEN ASKED TO. Thats the last time im saying it, ive had to explain it easily 5 times because you guys keep misunderstanding me. |

ak47, theres no need to have those IPs in your post... ill go edit them out since it seems to be unwanted.

All IP addresses have been removed from this thread...
Although, im still opening my PM box for any modder IPs anyone has..
Ps... Please do not send me IPs without names and mabye screenshots... I dont want to be banning innocent people, and that would make whoever gave me it in some trouble... |

It just sounds as if every post you've made has been an attack on Goober. I'm guessing it was just a misunderstanding, which is probably why it seems as though people are getting really defensive toward you... Since the whole point of this thread (having a list of cheaters to ban) has been compromised I vote that we close this thread before any sort of flame war breaks out. |

Is this topic out of control? It was sitting right on the edge wasn't it.
Want to solve the cheat problems? You will have to discuss it with the cheaters someplace else other than here.
At some point I will close this thread. I will close it sooner if the trickery or flaming starts up.

should there be like a file/banlist you could stick on internet and you would need pass and user name to acces it, so it could show the ip's banned etc |
