Is it me or has anyone noticed that vista is a total CENSORED
I was helping my friend setup some stuff on his computer and jeez vista is like a cheap toenail clipper from the dollar store that doesnt even cut through the nail.
Im gonna stick to xp.
Had to let it out. And ya best buy is only selling pcs compatible with vista. |

I'm still using XP and XP pro and I have no plans to upgrade to vista any time soon.
I might add, since Microsoft has games out there that only work on Vista, I will not buying those games any time soon. |

I once had to look at someones computer with Windows Vista on... The thing that really bugged me the most... Where the hell is the "Run" command in the Start menu? Did they take that off or something? If they did, how in the hell am I suppose to go into msconfig to stop programs from starting up on boot?
I was very unpleased with my self that I could not help my friend... Vista was defently not like anything else ive ever seen. What else they do? oh yeah, they stopped you from switching to Classic mode in Control Panel. its all arranged with different topics... that sucks!
You know something, it seems that Microsoft probley built this OS to suit "THEM" not to suit their users. Really, it does not make anyone's life easier.
I hate Internet Explorer with Norton 360 aswell! God Ive never seen so much screwing around in my life! Norton intergrate its horrible yellow bar on the top of explorer, just to let you know its working... .
I can see a lot of problems happening in the future with this.. Even if a vista service pack is going to fix all problems, its still going to be buggy.
Windows XP, was alright without a Service Pack.. Then when SP1 came out, it was even better with the Security Centre and the corrisponding updates to keep it secure.
Windows Vista, was very bad when first released. God knows whats going to happen after a Service Pack Update. God Help us All! |

Spikey - Windows Key + R
I always turn off the run command in XP... same for search and most of the shortcuts there by default.
Shortcuts you'll find make things easier...
Windows Key + E - Windows Explorer
Windows Key + F - Find (Search)
Windows Key + R - Run
Windows Key + M - Minimise Everything
You can then delete the icons you've got for these things sitting on your desktop, pinned to your start menu and quick launch for more important things... like your most used games
Personally I liked usnig Vista (back on XP atm).
I'll have no complaints if my next PC has that. |

The "Run" command is now the Search box in the windows menu and u can also use it to go to websites and to search for files on your computer |

Interesting video digital_ruler, you look much older than you claim.
Must be nice to be able to give Microsoft money for their products and not even use them. I see why they sell so much Operating Systems all around the world.
Genxer haven't you read any of the threads. nVidia 8800 isn't compatible with Red Faction. |

Windows Key + D or M does the same for me. All the windows get minimize. There is one slight difference. When I hit the windows key + D, they come back up. With M...Nothing. |
