Instead of having to dump all our textures all into the one custom folder which takes longer
to find the right texture if you have say, a thousand or two in the custom folder.

Well... It could be possible, but it would involve some fancy editing. To be honest, ive never tried that paticular objective but i have messed with RED's texture categories. Seems that it has no problem having new categories but it has trouble knowing what to put in them.

Yeah, it sucks not to have all your custom textures sorted into categories. But they did how ever give you a name filter, if you remember the name of all your textures lol...
Yes the name filter and little preview window is good.
But we need categories for the customs, as the customs will be more textures than the in-built game ones !
The RED EDITOR has one vitial thing missing.....
ADD VERTEX
It should allow you to add in your own vertex nodes click anywhere on the brush
and stretch them and shape the brush just like in Desktop publishing you do to pictures.

I have tryed it, years ago. It doesn't work properly.
After some careful diliberation last night (in some things which id rather not discuss) ive found some pretty weird things. I can edit categories, rename stuff, give new directories, but it has trouble adding new ones... Ill keep trying though
