Out of curiousity I just did a google search for "official crip website", thinking the NYC Crips had a websavvy member, and this was the first result.

I feel sorry for you Johnny_Suave as you have very bad taste buds. Different colors require different chemicals to create, so in theory they don't all taste the same do they?
It's like saying that oranges(not ripe) and limes taste the same when they are the same color.

Ermm.... does purple or green ketchup taste different than red? Nope. It's the same candy coating on the outside with a different food colouring. Food colouring has no taste.
