Reinstalling probably would have fixed it as well. If you haven't reinstalled Windows since you got the machine, I still suggest you do so. Useless junk tends to accumulate. I finally cleaned the inside of mine (85% of it at least). What, its been a year and a half? I'm definitely going to buy some "Canned Air" because blowing at it with your own breath gets all the dust right in your face.
