Hello all,

Does anyone know the specific string to resize the white blind flash of the Shoulder Cannon (Nuke) if is not hardcoded?

Thanks,
Morgoth

For clients, that's called cheating.

For servers, that's called useless.

Fusion flash is hardcoded.

Well, I based my opinion from the source Colt Walker got his information.

It definatley has that client cheating sound to it.

First, thanks for the help you wanted to give me Colt Walker, is still appreciated, but is not what im looking for and many things mess up the weapon.

Fusion flash is hardcoded.

Sadly, is also what I think, if any other can confirm what they think of it or even know a way to change it cleanly of course...

digital_ruler, just thanks for your solidarity

The purpose of that change, like I say above, is not to eliminate, but only resize the radius smaller to fit with Xmod damage and not blind player too far.

Can't resize it, it's hardcoded. i'm absloutley sure of that. Stop worrying yourself about it. It cant be changed. (apart from hacking the exe)

it can be done without the source code... though great difficulty.

I am not sure which effect it is but it is not hard coded since slizerfest used in one mod...
It is some impact effect but I am not sure which one but I could figure that out at some point.

EDIT: Colt Walker's post is for cheating purposes only and should be erased.

PS. Rite now I am just too darn busy getting my website up.

ROFL

Fury, perhaps it is a texture, flashing in the screen. (this is the case with the railgun)
But..I don't know which one of course When I run RF without textures it's still appearing and I see no pattern, perhaps its scaled, or perhaps its no texture at all.

It has to be the hardcoded name "shoulder_cannon" nothing else.

I think I remember ISM had the same thing happening for a sniper rifle, it flashed the screen because it was replaced with the shoulder cannon, or maybe it was the grenades, cant remember.
Names of weapons in weapons.tbl often have some hardcoded flags that you cannot see and edit. By creating a new weapon in weapons.tbl you will never be able to make it the same beahavious as the railgun for example.
