That's right, I'm hosting the next L4Y logo contest!
Except, this time you get a lot more options as to what logos you can produce. Because, this time you are not limited to doing logos based on L4Y sections!
Basically, we have 5 categories.
Possible - This is for upcoming games that may be getting their own section here. Stuff like Spore, Timeshift and other such titles would fit under this category.
Upcoming - This is for games which are getting sections here at L4Y.
This will be for the following games:
Enemy Territory: Quake Wars
Red Faction 3
Command & Conquer X
Plus any others that Garner or Genxer might not have told me about.
Current - This is for games which already have L4Y sections.
Unlikely - This is for games which, if we had enough interest when the game was announced, they'd have a section here now, or if the section was closed. C&C Generals: Zero Hour is a good example of a game that fits for this category, as it once had a L4Y section.
Impossible - This is for things that would never have gotten their own L4Y section. Stuff like Bio-menace (a really old, non-moddable game), Urban Chaos: Riot Response (console-only release) and Mozilla Firefox (web browser) fits under this category.
For example, this is one I made for the Unlikely category:

Please include L4Y Logo Contest in the subject line, otherwise I might label it as spam and delete it accidentally.
No maximum amount of entries per email, but they do have to all be yours.
1st place in each category will be a custom user title and free Gold for a month. 2nd place will be users choice of either a custom user title, or free Gold for a month.
I will also be giving out awards, which come with a free week of Gold. These awards are as follows:
Best of show - Best overall logo
Most original base - The logo based on the most original concept (ie for a totally original section)
Least Likely Game to Get A L4Y Section - Pretty self-explanitory.
Best Contributor - For the user who submits the most quality logos.
Most Likely Game to Get A L4Y Section - Again, pretty self-explanitory. It has to be for a game which hasn't got a L4Y section already being made, though. |
