RED has been quite laggy for me lately. If I'm looking at a bunch of geometry in brush or object I get around 40 fps. Also if I'm looking at a map through one of the side, or front etc. views, it slows to around 12 fps. It also does it when in texture mode or any other mode that "outlines" the brushes.
I'm assuming it has to do with my Nvidia 8xxx series, or Windows Vista, seeing as how I never had this happen on my old computer.
Anyone else have this problem?

I haven't had problems running RED on Vista other than a few minor interface bugs, try setting it to Windows XP compatibility. If that doesn't work then it may just be a problem with your video card.
Usually RED will become jumpy if you have built too much within the level you are creating. Im not sure what RED would be like on Nvidia 8xxx series because I do not have one .
