I need to know how to resolve this bug or if anyone has had this happen to them before.... I made a single player map. Inserted a Room with three cutscenes in it with voice files. The cutscenes and voice files play fine. But after the cutscene is over, it returns back to the game again, then I find the no clipping plane has shrunk right down to about 30 metres visability and showing a hall of mirrors and there are jagged edges. (The Cutscene clipping plane is still active, it hasn't shut down properly and is causing a hall of mirrors effect in the textures of the map..

When I don't play the cutscenes, the map is all fine, its after playing the cutscenes that I get this problem.

Great Question,

About 2 years ago, I encountered the same problem.. Another funny thing I might add Is that, Once the bug has taken effect.. It affects other maps when you join servers..

Thinking of solution............... hmm well I didn't find one to this day, Never really considered a fix.. But I am thinking that your map is too overloaded possibly.. Because my map was pushing REDs limits... And I've never notice this bug appearing on small little maps..

Question: did you:
a) add 3 different cutscene events or
b) 1 cutscene event with all the cutscenes in that 1 event?

if yes to a, i did that before and got the same problem, I fixed it by doing b (deleted all cutscene events except for the first one and just added what was in the other ones, like the different cameras and paths, to the first one)

Yeah i did have three cutscene events with four separate path nodes each at different angles. Red shouldn't have a problem with it but it does..

But I think I get the general idea.

So DVL-IAC are you're saying I should delete everything, start again and just insert 1 cutscene event and insert all the cutscene nodes where I want them and then just link them all up as one big path for the camera to move through?

That would make sense if it is to work that way

Does your cutscene span through multiple rooms? I've heard that having a cutscene go through portals could cause problems, but I'm not sure if thats true.

Don't need to delete everything, just your last 2 cutscene events. just open your last 2 cutscene events, copy down all there properties then delete those 2 events then in your first event just click add and put in all the properties of the old 2nd cutscene then click add again and put in all the properties of the old 3rd cutscene event. then change anything that might need to be changed like if your first cutscene triggered a delay that triggered the seccond or anything like that thats not needed anymore. click apply then close now when your cutscene runs it should play the first cutscene then when thats done go to the second then the third. then when its all done you shouldn't have that rendering problem anymore. This fixed the problem for me when I was having it so I think it should fix it for you if everything is done right.

Right, so you're saying that I'm limited to having to put all my shots into one long
continuous cutscene because Red refuses to allow me to run my shots
separately because of that annoying render error.
