Perhaps that the anti-cheat in PF is roughly 10,000x more effective. Or the fact that it will be updated, or the fact that it is being activly supported, or the fact that new features are added besides banning, or the fact that glitching is disabled, or the fact that it cannot be hacked (as 1.3 can VERY easily).

I never saw glitching as a problem. In fact back in the good old days when Foe ran a GREAT server, nobody ever glitch. Not as many people joined either, hopefully it works better than what SuBz tried. |

The full version of McAfee does not see pure as a virus. The inferior free ones do. I believe this is because the simulation engine they use is crap and cannot figure out what pure is doing so it assumes its bad. I'll look into why they are saying its bad later. |

wth... I did a test scan running McAfee 2008 and it showed me, "No infections"....
Maybe it's certain versions or something that others may or may not have enabled/disabled? |

I do have the "full non-free version". I did do the install in late 2006 and have been doing the updates ever since.
I haven't reformatted that PC, haven't had a need to as all I use that PC for a server ONLY.
On this PC, which has Norton, the file comes out clean and I am able to run said program.
I guess it's all in what version you have.
The said virus is from 2002, so I am pretty sure the definitions are included for that particular file and Norton doesn't see it as a virus any more.  |

Its still enabled, i tryed yesterday with RED-FROG.
I think : leave the bugs wich cant help you in game. the glitch RED FROG was using (rapid fire) should be disabled. but glitches like C4 and stuff. they are fun so..
Bugs in PF:
- Weapons/flags fall in geo wholes. Very weird.
- Sometimes rockets go true fences. its not allways but it happens.
- When you put a remote charge on Frogs head. he screams like a girl |

Pure Faction - works well to keep the mods out.
Its a pity it also kills Red Faction for the Mac in the process.  
If only there was a way to allow the Mac players to join - that would b cool. |

BIG PROBLEM !!!!!!! I have a 8800GT card, i run PF, but as some of you know, im a rail addict, and here comes the problem : when i use rail, instead of red people, they appear blue - a light blue, and i cant hit sht now ... CENSORED ???? Please someone take care of this ... Thanks !!!!!!!! |

It disables all (un)known cheats, its like a new Lazyban but with more functions like disabled glitches,..
