True. I often may have a fusion and I might be battling it out with a fellow RFer and I know I am about to get fragged.
What is my first thought...Switch to the fusion and blow this alleged enemy along with me. Sure I get a frag and lose one as well but at least he doesn't score one either and we can start all over again. 
As far as the blue thermal color is concern. I think in certain maps, like Deck 16, it actually helps me aim better. I do miss the default color though. I know it's just something I need to get use to and I've gotten use to a lot of things I didn't agree with in the past.

Third time that's been stated. The free (crap) version of McAfee detects it as a virus simply because it has features which block other programs from being able to edit it (hacking the program to cheat) so this horrible anti-virus doesn't know what it is... so think's its a virus.

It's not crap. As I stated before I DO NOT HAVE THE "FREE" version and it does detect it as a virus and Norton doesn't. 
Maybe I should install Sophos (which I get free from work) and re-check it. I do however have Pure Faction installed in this computer. So I am able to play in a Pure Faction server but just not able to host one on the other PC that has McAfee.
Any way, I was told that TrotSkie would be replacing said file (hopefully) in the next update. |

Yes.
I'm pretty pissed of that.
It is not possible to switch the just fired empty railgun with another weapon.
This has absolutely never been a glitch in RF.
Do you think a soldier in the battle has to reload his weapon before he can use a different one? huh?
Also after you have switched the railgun to something else and want to switch back to it you've got to reload it first before you can fire, so there is no glitch at all with it.
Goober have you just forgotten that, or don't you know the game?
Perhaps some people doesn't know/like/can handle this style of playing, but fast switching weapons is giving you the edge in many games and Pure doesn't allow it anymore.
There are several important glitches that can be fixed - but please not just with hacks in the code. |

I'm also positive that you haven't spent near as much time as I have talking to Nick and TrotSkie who are much more skilled in the RF engine and RF protocols than you or anyone else here |

Well i don't know if it is just me, but i encounter an error saying that Red Faction must have atleast 8mb of memory..... I am using the 8800GTS 640mb on Vista 64x Ultimate, any ideas ? I tried running the PFLauncer, the PF.exe and the RF.exe with the same result, i might have missed something in the installation ? |

Not all servers will be unfriendly to Macs. I still have a soft spot in my heart for them.

Agreed. Any further BS posts will be deleted, no matter who you are or where you are from.
Edit: I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO MENTION - The Mac version of RF does NOT allow players to change weapons while reloading. So I see ABSOLUTELY no difference in that respect between the original Red Faction and Pure Faction. I have seen other players change weapons without reloading and I have always considered that an unfair advantage. K thx. |

This is what i get on my other computer. Normal RF works.
Also when starting PF.exe only this happens, so its not the launcher..
EDIT: it seems to be something with some file(s) in my multi folder. when renaming it to multi2 it runs fine..
Another EDIT: It seems to be Banana hud. i dont know why though. |
