Has anyone ever tried getting the railgun to fire projectiles like the RL? For some reason they don't seem to show up in multi but do in SP. Using the ShellTest01.vfx in the v3d slot in the tables but to no avail.
Hmmm. It works in SP but not in MP? but other weapons (EG. Rocket Launcher) fires fine.
The only thing I can think it would be is the Dummy for the Rail gun. If you are making a custom weapon rather than editing the Rail you can obviously not put the dummy in. I assume thats the only difference
Possibly one of the other properties of the weapon is overwriting the projectile property?

I'd say the #Head Bitmap may be overwriting the projectile slot.

Railgun has hardcoded features. Such as the beam emitter.
Every projectile that is faster (velocity) than 100 will travel at maximum speed in multiplayer, but not in singleplayer. Perhaps that is what you were looking for. (I'm not 100percent sure if it was velocity "100".)
If this doesn't appear to work then it must be a hardcoded feature.
Just create a new weapon (new name) if you want another Rocket Launcher.
edit. I can barely remember, but one of d2ks mods (weird) has that flying plane projectile, used by the railgun. So it would have to be the velocity..)

Thanks everyone, I'll have a look and see if the velocity affects it. I'm just cheating with some of my weapons now and modding existing ones instead of creating whole new table entries just to get this mod done and out there lol
