Seriously, people...... If you can't see fit to follow the rules, that's your own fault, wouldn't you say? There's no sense in going on and on about it because the staff isn't going to change their minds no matter what you say.
Let me put it in these terms: Say you have a friend that wants you to go over to one of their family members' house for a casual get-together. Your friend tells you that this family member (say it's his/her uncle) doesn't allow cussing in there home. You get there and meet your friend's family and get into a discussion about the manegment of a certain sports team. You have a strong opinion about the way you think things should work and they have a different view. Your debate turns into an argument and you start attacking not only the other person's beliefs on the issue, but the person themself. While your doing this you throw in a few cuss words as well. Your friend's uncle hears the comotion and comes over to tell you that you need to not cuss and need to stop insulting the other person. You reply that because of free speech you can say whatever you want. You say that he shouldn't be trying to censor you and that you are at liberty to not follow the rules you already know about. You continue causing a big arguement and attacking the other person and what they think about the sports issue.
End example.
Now I have some questions: Did you know how you were supposed to act? Were you out of line? Were you asked to stop? Did your friends uncle have full reason to make you leave?
The answer to all these questions is yes.
Now I have a question that I don't know the answer to: Would you act like this in real life? If so you have some problems. Try and get those delt with. If your answer is no, then why would you act like that here? Just becasue there's that level of anonnymity here on the internet doesn't give you full right to act however you want. Follow the rules and there wont be any problems. Don't follow the rules and, well- see the example for the answer to that one.
Well done Halsfire. You worded that perfectly and I salute you on your post.
