Funny you start about FLAC... I came across FLAC a couple of times, and i don't really know what it is. Is it music in much better quality or something, because I know for a thing it takes up way more space on your drives.

Its just Lossless music quality. An exact copy of a cd. Your only notice the diff if you have a decent sound set up.
Well unless ur getting 128k mp3s that is

If you've got a rough idea of how MP3 works, it is more or less chucking away sound data you likely won't hear.
FLAC though is kind of like a zip file targeted at music - what you put in is exactly what you get out, no sonic changes at all. Combine that with a soundcard which supports bitperfect SPDIF transmission, and you've got a very high end music player.
