Some of you might already know the mod Mars Wars.
But none of you will know about this  :
I'm working on a new way to control Mars Wars, basing on the concept of the very first sidescroller games.
There is only left and right. Up and down. But this is yet a very addictive shooter gameplay, I have only once came across... in the game "Soldat".
So yea, I only kinda wanted to bring up some attention to this new thing, and I hope you'll enjoy it when 2.1 releases. - we can't stop "testing" it. 
There will always be the "classic" 3D gametypes as well, of course  |

Yes, there are several mods in UT2004 which bring you 2D view. 
Mods like "Marshmallow Duel" or "Chroma"
Now there are even some (bad imo) ones for UT3. Not even worth to mention them. |

It works out much better than I thought it would In other games, I barely play matches that last 2 hours ..in one single map ... LOL
I'm expecting mixed reactions, some that will say they don't like and and some who just love it - as usual |

Man RedFrog when do you stop amazing me with the things you create! 
That screenshot looks fun and hilarious, and I really would like to play that, maybe its finally getting time to purchase me a copy of UT 2004.
Got anymore and bigger screenshots?
This kinda looks something like Red Faction Guerillia on the PSP or the DS or something, I bet if it would be released as such a game, It would sell quite alot of copies! |

Ive played with RedFrog online and i gotta say ...
It is quite fun, i mean regular MW is fun too, but whenever you feel the need to change things up, this definitely does it
I should probably help redfrog map more  ... especially since the 2D maps are much easier to do |

I loved Mars war and that video looks amazing (especially moving lifts in an online RF game keeping sync) I like the Paralex scrolling looks very nice. I take it the controls are W,A,S,D keys and mouse to aim/fire. Also I notice in the video what appears as a line of sight for your weapon projectory is that gonna be in the final version and if so could the server have the option to disable it for hardcore matches . One final question and I know I am pushing it but would it be possible to walk in and out of the screen for hidden secrets etc (kinda like the original crash bandicoot on PS1. |
