The new game comes out next Summer 2004, using Epic's Unreal Technology. The developer of Delta Force, Zombie, will the same developer of this game.

This might be better than Counter Strike And it comes out on Xbox and PC

Heh, nothing will and does beat the Counter Strike mod. The levels of it are clean and just perfect.

New games are aiming for a good look. Details blocking the players everywhere.

Meh... I stopped playing it after a while... Just took up hard drive space...
As It's temple and It's victim, my blood runs on marble floors, just like some insane circulation, ...back into my corroded heart.

Hmmmm another game using the Ureal engine?

Ooops, Unreal engine. My n key was on strike lol.
But anyway.. the problem is that any game built with it requires very low pings to play well. On the other hand RF which uses a different engine runs well even on relatively high pings. I can comfortably play with a ping of 600 in RF but in a game using the latest Unreal engine... well... so far of all the games I have that use that engine NONE are playable online on my 56k connection.

RF is by far the most forgiving multiplayer game there is when it comes to pings. Every other game I have tried requires you to have a fairly close ping to the other guys or you are at a major disadvantage.

I still don't understand why RF did not develope more of a following than it did.

Zombie... DeltaForce? Novalogic is the DF developer - I think one other firm did a port of DF to something else however...

Negative things of the RF netcode is the way to glitch/mod/cheat whatever you call it.
The Unreal netcode works different.
Every move you are doing needs to be requested to the server. The same goes to the shots of the weapons.
If you are playing on 56k with a higher ping than 200 you get weird teleporter lags. You want to walk forward but you can't. Sometimes you walk forward but after a few seconds the server sets you back again and you have to walk again LOL. Or you pressing fire and the rocket launch delays about 1 second. That happens all because of the lags.

In RF you can move whenever you want. (and how fast you want..) Sometimes your moving stops because of a lag but that happens for other reasons - connection lost or package loss, timeout.
You can shoot how fast you want also. In UT you can't mod the client files to shoot faster or have infinite ammo.


With a fast connection - 512k or higher. And a server in your region you wont notice anything of that.
